Impossible Toys Tetra Squadron Video Teaser Transformation Demo

Really wanted to see the three Rainmakers, plus Air Warrior and Sunstorm. Head looks a little big. Legs look a little short. Do they pull out any farther?

I hope Impossible Toys remembers to write a bio and give them tech spec numbers, maybe on a card.

They should try to get someone to write the bio who speaks english as a first language, and preferable someone who doesn't copy and paste something from Wikipedia, like on the Alpha Traon box. I know bios are a bit of an afterthought for a third party Transformer, but sometimes a well written bio can help sell an average toy.

I may be in the minority (or the entirety of the minority for that matter) but I'd rather have seen the rainmakers made into the Tetrajets. I've got so many Starscreams, Thundercrakers, and Skywarps, that I really don't need them in this particular Cybertronian form. Pretty neat nonetheless.

The thread says "teaser", so not everything is being revealed right away.

That's a really fiddly transformation, if even someone from Impossible Toys gets lost doing it.

I'm not really feeling it. It's a neat idea, but the product itself is completely unimpressive.

Proportions look off... maybe the heads are just a tad too big?

I hear nice qlicking and locking of the joints. Starscream looks great and I love the built in landing gear, cant wait to get these.

Yuck the back looks way too huge and the wings are just there and I can see issues with wings happening like stressing and breaking with how those panels are just tabbed on.

This looks to be a fiddly and fragile looking toy.


It's neat that they were able to get a Tetrajet to transform into a (mostly) G1 looking Seeker toon botmode but he just has too many things wrong with him for me to even consider picking it up.

Not feeling it but hope it interests someone.

Please let there be a Slipstream too.

I'm definitely all over *some* version of this mold, but yeah, one of the main seekers isn't it for me. Like you, I'm really sick of the trio (both trios, heh).

But looks awesome Venksta, loved Alicon too, love how old-school G1 they come off!

Cool concept, but not for me. The oversized head does throw off the proportions though.

It's cool someone made these, but they aren't for me. While it is definately neat they figured out a way to do the toon model justice, those proportions ... yikes. It's not just the head either, but the torso is too long too. But I don't know what could be done.

It seems like they learned a lot from their Arcee. That was a floppy mess. The Alicon was pretty good, though. These seem better than the Alicon.

What sort of size are these? Looks to be large Deluxe/small Voyager ish.

Been wanting someone to do tetrajets for a while now. I like how they're looking, but there is concern with how fiddly the transformation is and how many tiny pegs hold the wing shells together, I feel like it should be wider tabs that have less chance of breaking. As said above, the head is too big so it ends up looking odd. What's also throwing me is using the existing cockpit, since the show models always had the F-15 cockpit, if that could be flipped around for a bubble canopy, I feel like it would keep the chest from looking flat and sunken in.

Well, I don't like the proportions, but 99% sure these would stay in Tetrajet mode. So I might give them a pass

The engineering is certainly a lot more than I was originally expecting, and there's a lot of promise there, but the head is a bit off and the thin wings attached to very small fiddly joints is a bit of a concern. Given what we've seen with MMC's airborne squad, we know that some thin plastic can work, but we also know that this isn't MMC. I'm still undecided and would like to see more.

The head is a tad too big and the hinges for the wings look like they could break very easily.

Its a pretty nice looking alt mode at least.

I don't want any,but I will give props for mostly pulling off the impossible "triangle ship from Space Ace turns into robot with F-15 parts all over it" thing.

Excellent, can't wait for these. Loved Allicon and really want Tetrajets to put next to Hegemon!

Just watched the Youtube vid of Thundercracker on Impossible Toys facebook page, it looks like the guy trasnsforming it put some serious pressure on it and nothing broke. So that is a great sign the quality must be good, I guess they used the good plastic on these like they did with Alicon.

These are definitely designed for a G1 aesthetic. It's pretty obvious with their track record Impossible makes toys to fit with your G1 collection. With that said, these are brilliant and look just like they were designed in a mid-eighties design studio on a drafting table by a Japanese man with a deadline. Definitely not for your classics collection.

If they rework the head, I may bite on these. As is though, the huge head is a turn off.

Looks neat. Mighta picked them up once upon a time when there was less cool, expensive stuff to buy and I was looser throwing around the cash.

I would be too, but the head is too big in my opinion. And that face.....yuck. I hope that is a prototype and they change it. Otherwise, I'll be thanking them too for helping me save money.

This may sound strange, but the plastic sounds cheap. It's the same sound I know from handling very poor KOs. That might not mean anything though.

This isn't for me. The proportions in robot mode looks way off, the transformation is fiddly, the guy looks like he's being sooooo careful not to break anything, the wing pieces are very large. And of course, there's no room for more standard seekers in my collection.

No it does not as I had same thoughts about the plastic. All the little tabs on the wings do not seem like the best idea also as I would be concerned about them breaking.

Do not get me wrong it is an awesome concept , I am a worried about the execution though.

yeah! the transformation is creative and looks fun. The tetrajet mode is SPOT ON but i cant say i like the bot mode much.

big props to them for goin for the G1 tetrajet design, though!

I have a lot of Impossible Toys stuff and some of it fills just the right spot. A lot of the criticism comes from that Arcee. If you can forget about that then these can be seen in a better light. I still really want that Alicon. Ever since I learned it is pretty big I have been meaning to pick it up.

I guess price is going to be the big question. I would not mind having a squadron of tetra jets hanging from my ceiling!

I agree that it is a great concept. However, the proportions seem off and looks like you could accidentally snap this thing to pieces at any moment.

Looks like a huge piece of shit. Impossible Toys does terrible quality toys, do you guys forget how the Arcee and Paradigm Medic they did a couple years ago fell apart and broke for everyone? Avoid at all costs.

I feel bad, I'm afraid this project is going to flop. I'd be all in for a tetrajet, so they got the concept right, but it just didn't pan out.

How does something look fragile? I think the guy looked like he was not sure how to transform it so was taking his time. Do most people get a new toy and throw it across the room to see if its strong enough? Looks like the same plastic as Alicon and that was not fragile but very strong. So many people still bitching about the Arcee. should I not buy MP Prowl because my G1 Prowl in 84 Broke his roof? Anyone see the Thundercracker video

The Arcee was crap. I bought that and the remold to nightbird. But it was also way back near the beginning of 3rd party toys. I remember before them there was some company called "rabid squirel" I think? They made an even worse one before Impossible Toys. The point is that there has been a progression. I would like to get one in hand to know.

As a YT reviewer, I've never had much positive to say about IT.. I'd love to see something change my opinion of them for sure.

Wow, jet mode looks fantastic. Transformation was a lot more involved than I was expecting. Robot mode looks "ok". Like others have said, not a big fan of the size of the head. If they are competitively priced I'll pick it the main 3 and any of the rainmakers if they come out with them. As far as their other products go. The Arcee was crap, felt like a model kit and was badly painted. Took a risk and I picked up the Alicon. Loved the design and G1 style transformation, only think plastic felt a little bit thin in certain areas and I wish they used heavier plastic. However, I transform mine all the time and it's still fine, but I was expecting more heft similar to Gnaw.
