iGear MGT-01 Delicate Warrior "Arcee"

iGear have added a new item to their online store. Like various other items they have marketed, this is not an item they have created themselves - they are just acting as distributors. The item in question? The MGT-01 Delicate Warrior, the latest unofficial Generation 1 Arcee following on from the various previous releases including the recent Impossible Toys Valkyrie.

Delicate Warrior weighs in with a hefty pricetag a couple of bucks shy of $100, and comes in a Generation 1 styled box that none the less will probably never look right at home with other Generation 1 releases. She comes with two guns and a display base, and also features some die cast metal in the chest and knee joints. He expected release date is October 2010.

EDIT: Okay, so it's different, but it follows the same transformation scheme.

I'm still not decided which one i'm going to pick up 98 is alot for a small figure, but i guess i'll see how the reviews are for the it, it'ld be nice to have a female next .

This is the one that was recently showing off at that Chinese con, right? Looks pretty good, hopefully the quality is better than Impossible Toys Arcee.

So you can spend $70 for the Impossible Toys version, or spend $25 more for iGear's version (I.E. near exact duplicate)?

That die cast better make one hell of a difference.

The robot mode is definitely better, but who knows how the QC will bear out.

Car mode wheels are a bit too big, or something. Maybe they stick out too far, but the end result is that she kinda looks like a kiddy-cart or pedal car in vehicle mode.

I have to admit, it looks better than the IT one, but for already being hesitant to support iGear, the price makes it a definite no go for me. If they cut that in half, maybe I'll bite.

I wasn't interested until I saw the bot mode. That thing looks really good in bot mode. This however has to be the worse transformation ever! I love how the one arm is just jammed under there with no real place to go.

At least it has diecast and (hopefully) not crappy plastic.

The price isn't worth it. The product is only slightly better than the most recent version, but not at the price they want. For 100 at that size it better be painted perfect and have no iffy areas any where. It would also help if there weren't several alternatives on the market.

IGear messed up on this one. They should have made the Arcee, that's not their Arcee, cheaper than the one that's out now. I would have definitely bought it then, but at 100, I'm just going to hope that Hasbro wasn't playing with us when they said they would make more fems. Hopefully we get WFC Arcee if they won't give us a G1 one.

Oh, If that's the real masterpiece than never mid. That's a lot bigger than I thought it was, and sadly, for me that makes it a no purchase. I just want an Arcee for my classics.

Isn't this that figure that was made by a fan? He was trying to get it mass produced. Must have gone through Igear to get it done. I thought they were talking about it at a 3rd party dinner during SDCC. Anyway, $98 is way too much for me. Hopefully the Hasbro Arcee rumors come true.

I think that's just iGear's downsized "Faith leader". It has the different sculpt head and the lack of paint on the parts that were originally die cat on the real MP Convoy.

I think the Autobot symbol is something they stuck on there. It's a lot thicker than the real one, And the head is different. The real ones doesn't have "ears" positioned like that.

Also, because Faith Leader is all-plastic, there's no paint on his legs and upper torso. Those parts are glossy shiny with paint on the real MP toy.

Looks nice wonder if the back of the box with other fembots is a hint to future projects which would be pretty damn awesome if so.

It doesn't have the switch for the matrix light. It's their mini.

Faith Leaders sold within China included an additional emblem you could attach yourself. Head's a dead give-away that it is indeed Faith Leader, thus Delicate Warrior is about Deluxe.

I also think the wheels should've been recessed a bit more~ What's wrong with Arcee being a low rider?

I want this!!! They would announce this the day after I got my two TRNS-01's in the mail yesterday. Delicate Warrior looks much more poseable especially with her Ben Wa display stand.

I guess I will wait and see how the quality ends up on this one. Does anybody know if the Igear store charges you upfront on pre-orders or if they are like BBTS and do nto charge until it is about to ship? I couldn't find an answer on their site.

IMO this actually looks much better-proportioned than the insanely tiny-armed TRNS-01.

It still ain't worth it, though.

If that is the normal Masterpeice Prime it's next to, then hell yeah! I'd go for that.

If not, then ehhhhh. I'll just keep lookin' for Animated Arcee for now.

EDIT: Defintely NOT the regular size masterpeice. Looking closely at the head and the style of sculpting for the details, that is the Faith Leader. Pass. I mean, nigh-masterpeice-level engineering in that small body? That's amazing, but not $100 amazing. $30? In a heartbeat. $50? Pushing it, but I'd bite. $100? No freaking way.

VERY tempting. Looks better than the Impossible Toys one but both are more than I really want to pay right now. Damn, I'm sure I'll break down and order one of the two sooner than later. Animated Arcee is alright for what it is but I need an Arcee that matches the Classics aestetic!

If they lower the price, I'll jump on it. As is, it loooks strong, but not well designed enough to justify $100 on something that is almost identical to the Impossible Toys version that I already have.

At least it's new engineering.... if it's deluxe size, and decent quality, and not overpriced, I'll consider it, even if I don't like iGear much - I need a decent arcee.

Looks good. But since its similar to the IT Arcee, I wonder how much trouble the diecast will give her to stand. Maybe that is why their including the base?

Wouldn't the diecast chest balance out her backpack? Anyway, it look really nice. I'm not sure I want to spend that much on it yet, but if good reviews come out of it I probably will. I actually got the Faith Leader and if the paint app on this is up to par with Faith I will be very impressed.

That artwork on the back of the box is ripped off from a member here, who goes by the name Supreme_Cheetor. He use to post in the fanart forum ages ago. I doubt they asked him for permission, since he has disappeared from here and his DA page.

While it is an impressive toy I dont know what to think other wise

putting it with G1 would look out of place since its design is too modern, putting it with classics would not look right as style wise its too retro so unless they super size it to go with MP roddie I don't know what I'd do with it when it comes to putting it with other toys

EDIT: Watched the vid and she still seems VERY back heavy. I also wonder what type of movement the head has? We didn't exactly get to see much head movement.
