Hearts of Steel Steel Starscream Third Party Prototype Revealed

A new third party product has been shown off at a show in China. On show was a gray resin prototype of a Hearts of Steel Starscream. This one is by a new group, D.I. Studio, rather than Mastermind Creations who've brought previous designs from the Hearts of Steel series to life. This prototype looks promising - time will tell if this ends up being a worthy companion to the Knight Morpher Commander and the Cyclops.

TFC Toys also had a display at the same show, showing off their Hercules and also their DSLR "Reflector", who's also still at the gray prototype stage.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder if the guy at the TFC table has his face blurred out because he just doesn't want his pic out there, or if he's trying to hide from Hasbro, lol.

That's weird Mastermind Creation have been hinting at a Bumble-Train and Starscream for ages in their fiction so They obviously would like to do both...

If these guys get this out quickly and it's a groozy as it appears it looks like MMC have lost out - they will have to go make an Insecticon train instead.

Oh no, I'm totally fine with the airplane (and I love rotf Ransack), it's just the plane design that bugs me, with the bat wings and all. I can understand why others love it though.

Rah, I do want one of these, although TBH I would actually rather just have it in this greyish scheme and not painted up, well you know, give it some details so on but not the white, red and blue.

Does it matter? It is this companies business if they want to produce these. From the general tone of the thread it would seem there is a good amount of interest, I know I am. Hopefully the white, red and blue paint they use will be easy to remove =-D

I don't get why MMC didn't hit up this mould after KnightMorpher.

The seeker mould is the one multipurpose mould that fans actually demand. You get 3 automatic releases, Then you can stretch it and do the conehead colours and after that the rainmakers. Thats a lot of sales off one mould.

If this is in some sort of scale with the MMC stuff, MMC lost a big sale mould.

Its actually based off this design:

The designer got most of the look down. I see he added swords. But its not as accurate to the original design by Guido. MMC has so far been very close to Guido's design work for KM Commander, and Cyclops, from what I've seen.

MMC has room to still make a HOS Starscream, especially after revealing him in one of the bios. And with the two designs by Guido, they can make something cool for their Knight Morpher line.
