In one of the more creative and completely awesome moves, third party group FansToys may have just won over some more fans today by revealing an alternated head for their recently revealed Stomp figure.
Many fans will recall the scene from the Generation 1 animated film where the Dinobots tackle the task of fighting against Devastator. Sludge unfortunately took a huge hit from the gestalt, suffering a cartoon case of eyes popping out of his head (image mirrored for reference). FansToys will include this moment for fans to relive in a cartoon styled head with the first run of their Stomp figure, giving fans a very creative second look for this Masterpiece inspired figure.

I'm letting go of my last Fanstoys stuff. MIB Stomp/Sludge, MIB Soar/Swoop, and MIB Grenadier/Bombshell in my sales thread.
Bundle deal for Stomp and Soar for that dino mode display.

that doesnt look really out of place to me
King Nergil
Imo yes. But only if you hide his face.

okay fair enough, i will see how it looks when stomp arrives
FiVE1ZERO
Agreed. No hate to ppl who mix match but just looks like it's from 2 different brands. I do think the OS MP Grimlock works with the FT Dinos though while not for GP IMO.
ph4zed
imo, the aesthetics are too different… like putting siege prime with a bunch of fanstoys minibots..

Can gigapowers swoop be paired with fanstoys dinobots, because they are the same height? i have that one, and i really love it

I caved in and got FT for bot mode and Giga for dino. Say what you will about their bot modes, but the Gigapower set are magnificent in dino form.

Truth, though! I can't believe how easy it is for Swoop to fall over.
Teletran-1
Yeah, I thought about doing that but I didn't have space. Dino mode is the way to go though! Also keep Swoop safe being on a stand!

That's something holding me off from buying the two that got reissued, especially considering how much it would cost to get the others. Part of why I'm eying the Gigapower ones, even though I think they're a little too large.
Curium
I effectively did that, but with repaints. I have the G1 versions in dino mode and G2 in bot mode (have an extra Stomp and Soar still awaiting the day I can afford to pay someone to paint them G2).
crdavismusic
No idea why they didn't do even another run of Grinder. He's Grimlock. Many will purchase without even the intent of a full set.
I'm considering a second set of Dibots for alt mode… Anyone else get in on that besides BSF? I just love the G1 toy vibes, and at that price, at least Stomp and Soar would be a good shelf in dino mode.
Dodgy Dan
Maybe if they'd done another run of the other three they'd have sold a bit better.
Curium
A part of me wanted to do a similar shoot, but buy this to go with it, in the end my lack of interest in this figure won out over the brief gag.
RKillian
I got Sludge during the last round but did pick up Swoop this time at ShowZ.
They'll sit even longer at BBTS where they're $295 plus tax plus shipping plus tax again.
emporio80
finally bought one at showz, cant wait to have him in my hands
ChromeMagnus
Who'd ever imagine that the once popular Stomp would become a shelf warmer?? It's a sign of the times indeed.
