Also looks like the gunbarrel collapses to form the backpack. Decent way of handling that piece.

Hoping this is a large size deluxe fig if it is i,m all over it.

It's Masterpiece-scaled, like their cancelled Soundwave figure.

There's no way you're going to get articulated hands on a Deluxe figure.

Looks like an LED eye, and by the drawing his gun hand, will light up too.....that's awesome! Also love how the barrel and legs are formed......although if I was to be really picky cartoon Shockwave has the hose under his forearm with Decepticon insiginia on the upper forearm. Now we just need a decent sized Megs to complete the big four 'cons.

I have a feeling after the Soundwave incident this is close.......especially looking at the prototype.....that thing looks like it just needs correct colours to be released.

G1 toy colorway for sure. I need this along with Soundwave ASAP.

The transformation looks quite clever. Funny how some of us (including me) tend to think this will get Takara's ball rolling for MP Shockwave.

I kinda like the hose placement as it is here, because it makes it a more prominent part of his forearm, rather than tucked away out-of-sight.

Better be quick about releasing it. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a new Takara MP sooner than we'd expected.

I'd vote cartoon colours too.

I can do without the light up eye. Light up hand would be cool though. But not necessary. Clear purple plastic is fine.

I only ask as the pictures indicate they do. In the blue prototype pic the eye looks like an LED and in the purple cgi both the eye and gun hand are lit. Just after confirmation (or not) but I personally think they'd be awesome.....especially if the eye blinks like he is talking!

The only thing I'd complain about the LEDs is the color of the eye. I'd want it to be yellow..

Very cool looking, wish it was going to be voyager sized to go with Hegemon. That said, I am very happy for all you MP collectors, this will be a nice addition.

So does anyone know how this transforms? Ie do both legs form the handle which will then be thicker than on g1 shockwave, and if so where does the backpack come from to given that the gunbarrel is now in that position? And as for gunbarrel itself, does it simply peg onto the back?

Can't wait I think all 3rd party toys should employ the plastic Hegemon is using, real sturdy. I hope this Shockwave is well built because it's looks good. Cartoon colors for me as well.
