Dr Wu is branching out from accessories, as this post on Facebook group Meteor Operation reveals - Dr Wu will be venturing into making full Transformers, and he'll be making unofficial WST ones like Heero Toys Maker and JustiToys. Unlike Heero and JustiToys though it seems his releases will be closer to Legends / Legion size class, will updated articulation compared to the original toys.

The first release shown so far is an unlicensed take on Generation 1 Perceptor, strongly based on the toy and featuring all three modes - check it out.

Very impressive! I'm looking forward to where they go with this line.
Vangelus
That, is really cool. I wonder what the cost will be.

Depending on the price and how many are released these maybe the perfect set to go with Gen. Metroplex
Lbsammills51

Looks more like Legends to me.

Oh, I think this picture hasn't been posted to this thread yet...

OptimusTimelord
Looks good. Is it like a WST Perceptor then? Not so bothered about a Targetmaster (unless the gun is an extra mode as well as microscope I guess).

Nice to see some improved proportions and articulation for Perceptor whilst keeping the G1 aesthetic. Someone should make a full size version!
Scaleface
"T" seems to mean "Transformer".

You know one of the best things about Dr. Wu making this? He loves to recolor his toys. This mean we'll probably get a Legends Magnificus/SG Perceptor out of it!
Houndvoice
You are on to a winner here Dr.Wu!

Well, the supposed "WST" Astrotrain, Sixshot and Dinobots are all really Legends size toys. Legends didn't exist back when they started making those, so they called them WST. They are basically Legends toys.

This is the only reason I can think of to buy this. If they truly have shrink ray technology, I'm gonna need a kup, hotrod, springer and arcee. And UM. Might as well thrown in some deceptions too. Like devy.
Scaleface
If you keep it in alt mode, you can just say this is Perceptor shrunken for others to use him as a microscope.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Of course now I need a full sized 3rd party Perceptor.

Very Nice. I swear sometime they look so sweet in prototype white

Good news. When I saw it this morning I wrote Dr. Wu and told him it was amazing looking and said I hope he was also making it in black for Magnificus/SG Perceptor. His quick reply was:

He also states that he can't really do a full sized version. Said he has size limits. Maybe he means on the 3D printing?

Fuck dat. My TFs have binoculars/microscopes in their helmets. Like hotrod in the movie.
Timesynch
Looks great! Though is it supposed to scale with WST? I would have preferred it scaling with Legends instead. Still, very neat and might pick it up.
Kaijumaster
danged impressive, the release of Metroplex has me super interested in WST now.
Hicks_Royel
I'm interested.
worldruined
microbots!Perceptor?!

I think I need this. XD
Scaleface
This actually works for how Perceptor was portrayed in his first commercial where Optimus Prime used him as a Microscope to learn that the giant shapechanging robot who attacked them was a Decepticon (because, you know, that wasn't obvious!)

So it's a Legends toy. Why not just call it that? Why are people calling it WST when it's not?
Strarf
That's so cool. I love Perceptor and have been wanting a well articulated G1 design toy of him. Now only if it was bigger.

Dr. Wu said he can't currently make larger parts that something like that would need.
Cyclonus79
I don't why, but I'd buy the hell outta this. I think he looks pretty dam cool.

Only reason I did was just saying that it would fit in with them, I know it's more legend scale
Sovietbot
Is not excluded that could be after him, and he himself WST Magnificus or SG Perceptor.
DINOBOTT
Looks great!

Generally speaking, WST is downsized G1 toy molds right down to G1 articulation, which this resembles to me. Legends are generally G1 in flavor but features new/updated molds and articulation (Legends RTS Megatron is not the same as WST Megatron, for example).

That and WST are generally smaller than Legends figures (3P WST Shockwave is smaller than Legends Bumblebee, for example; WST Dinobots are similar in size to Legends mostly because the Dinobots should be taller than most other WST's as per the show's scale). FP's Quake would be a Legends-esque figure to me because he features updated design and articulation that's different from WST Shockwave (who is based on G1 Shockwave).

That's just my take on it that distinguishes the two lines. YMMV.
Kraken
This is awesome. I'm going to get him for Toyworld's Brainstorm, and he can be his cuddle toy/voodoo doll!

Did you notice the ball joints and that Dr. Wu displays it with Legends Optimus Prime? This has tons more articulation that G1 Perceptor.

Legends started out in Legends of Cybertron, which were not G1 at all, and were just downsized versions of the Cybertron transformations, not updated alt modes. Same with Movie Legends, Prime Legends, Animated Legends.

I did say, "generally speaking." Slavishly G1 in design mostly makes me think of WST. If the Legends or Cyberverse line offered a version of Perceptor, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a half-track truck instead of a microscope. 3Ps kinda throw a monkey wrench into the black-and-white definitions that separate Legends and WST. This Dr. Wu not-Perceptor is still smaller than Legends though, further muddling things. I dunno about you, but Legends Bumblebee shouldn't be bigger than a straight-up Legends Perceptor, in my view. Or are you saying WST Megatron is the same as Legends RTS Megatron?

As always, YMMV.

It was a missile launcher.

Legends Bumblebee was taller than it. It was one of the largest first Legends figures.

Perceptor was portrayed as Mini-Bot size or smaller in his original commercial.
RKillian
Looks nice but probably going to be priced beyond that.

Legends Bumblee IS taller than Legends Optimus Prime right now.
All the more reason for the distinctions then. WST =/= Legends, at least to me. You can call this Dr. Wu version of not-Perceptor whatever you want though since it's 3P and therefore unofficial. As always, people buy and display however they wish.

I was talking about RTS/Henkei Legends Bee, who is the same size RTS Legends OP.
DINOBOTT

Just took this pic, looks like a WST in terms of scale.
