They are reuses of their Nightfang and the Tremor/Frequenzy molds with clear color changing plastic. Check out the description from BBTS' website:

Damn, I think that sounds pretty cool.

Well, I liked Nightfang well enough, might as well get this since I don't have one of the other molds, and it's inexpensive enough. Can always use more cassettes.

these look really fun and cool. like a lot of the toys that came out in the 80's. as much crap as people tend to give BTS, i think they're making some pretty fun stuff.

As a kid I loved color changing toys and toys made of transparent plastic.

That has continued a bit into my adult Transformers hobby. But not that much. Ew. Pass.

Kinda interesting... though TBH I'd only want the kingbat figure... the Frenzy/Rumble cassette is um... blech.

These molds are complete garbage imo, especially the Rumble/Frenzy.

I like the color change idea, though. I would buy color changing versions of the G1 tapes.

Sunbite and Solar Flare. Really cool names, looks like I'll be ordering another set of these strange proportioned mecha tape things. But the transformations are different enough from the G1's and they got piledriver action. I think their quite neat and affordable enough.

I hope that the quality improves over every other item that they have released. BTS has good ideas, but the final product quality sucks.
