Via the Facebook account of Youtube reviewer Ben’s Collectables we have an in-hand look at Bold Forms’ Lone Wolf. Lone Wolf is an unoffiicial take on Generation 1 Motormaster using the full trailer look rather than the cab-only option of the Combiner Wars release. Back when it was announced it was as the first in a set of five unlicensed Stunticons, but since then Hasbro announced their Combiner Wars Stunticons and Lone Wolf was redesigned to serve as a new central torso for Menasor. These images give us a look at the figure, fully painted and in all its modes, including combined with Hasbro’s Combiner Wars Stunticons as Menasor.

It would depend on what it is you actually want and what your priorities are (in the end only you know what is right for your collection), but it is safe to say the overwhelming majority of people would answer yes.

Would the shapeways upgrade kit for Legacy Motormaster be better???
toretilo
I have it and would sell it, I just have to find the box and whatever there is inside, PM me. If you're not in Europe, shipping is expensive.
It's about 22 cm tall to the top of the hood.

He's about a head shorter than CW.
Curium
Is it the same size? Honestly I only gave Legacy a passing look when it was announced and then didn't pay further attention. I only know this is CW size because it was advertised with the CW limbs attached. Of course even then I know there are people who want more of a classics look than the current figures give which are closer to G1. Plus I would hope that no one is charging as much as Legacy costs for this. If you already have the CW limbs (so $0 limb price going forward) and if you can get this on the cheap I could see that as enough price incentive for some people.
RyanCharlie
Legacy MM outclasses this in every single way.
Curium
Even the worst of figures can serve a purpose, though for the most part to be happy with that it requires knowing what you are getting yourself into ahead of time. And of course how much one is willing to pay for said purpose would vary from person to person. In this case I forget exactly how big Lone Wolf is, but isn't there very few Motormasters in this size class? CW Motormaster isn't exactly stiff competition.
RyanCharlie
this bot is so bad the designer deserves to be knee-capped
Grimuli
I honestly bought it specifically to leave in combiner mode and I use stands to so it looks good and I don't have to worry about it being floppy
RyanCharlie
fair. i found it to be such a pile I wanted to chuck it against the wall. Probably the fastest I've ever flipped a figure.
Gladius is a better bot than this pile.
Grimuli
I have it and I think it is pretty awesome
RyanCharlie
Or, read this thread thoroughly and see that this figure is a massive pile of shit.
Curium
Like any out of production figure it is available as people who bought it choose to sell. If you are lucky someone who has one to sell may see your message here, but it is likely it will come down to someone posting one in the B/S/T message boards here, on some Facebook sales group, or eBay. You can also try searching Ali Express for sellers that might have it, but you have to be even more careful than you do on eBay about scams. There is a thread about known sellers here in the 3P boards.
Gaia Saber
Is this still available? I can't seem to find it on ebay.

Ya I wish an arm connector is on there that's what I need.

I put some effort into making him better. Like tightening his joints.
There are those thigh stabilizers for combined mode on Shapeways.
I do appreciate how this homages the g1 toy.
FORT MAXie
ya he more or less covered all the points and showed the combined mode i can not do…
batfan007
Yeah I have it currently with my CW limbs. But when you say you are buying adapters, that part confuses me, the toy already already has those?
Did they release some earlier version without them?
If so, that might explain why the friction is totally insane when you connect something. Once you put a limb in, it's impossible to remove by hand, you need pliers or a screwdriver. I've pulled screws out of wood with my bare hands that required LESS force than removing a limbs from BF Motormaster, it's literally one of the worst purhases I have ever made, even at half price.
I'm aware of the not produced drones, that's why I mentioned it, the (prototypes) were way more in proportion. The CW limbs are just way too bulbous and gangly.
On the plus side I like CW Motormaster in robot mode (shit torso mode), I like BW Motormaster in robot mode, it does the toy look well (shit torso mode) and I've bought the 4 XTB Stunticons, but they still have not released all the god damn parts. So I have not one, not two, but three useless options for a Menasor.
You have to LOVE this hobby! LOL
Like they can make a dozen damn devastators, superior superions, even bloody computron, but for some reason when it comes to Menasor official and unofficial has to fuck something up.
Still on the fence if I will ever complete my XTB Menasor as they have motormaster and then the final release of ……… "BITS" and I'm looking at $300 AUD ++ to complete it, on top of what I spent already on the 4 limb bots.
Thunderstudent
Yeah, he was originally meant to have his own limbs but since combiner wars was coming out at the time Bold Forms made the adapters for those who didn’t want to wait. I bet those who have a decent copy of him are glad they did.
RyanCharlie
The figure was designed to work with the Combiner Wars limbs or the never produced limbs from Bold Forms themselves.
