Maketoys Announces RE:MASTER SERIES - Cupola (Chomedome), Gun Dog (Hound), and Hellfire (Inferno)

Posted on 01-26-2015 at 08:46 AM by Matty under 3rd Party Unlicensed
15751665463_ca2728f6e7_b The Maketoys website updated earlier this morning to announce a new line of transforming robots: The RE:MASTER SERIES. This line is being speculated by our members as being a fit into the current line of Masterpiece styled Transformers, a trend that is taking the third party collecting world by storm. From Maketoys:

"Re:master " , in a time where scale is everything.....Re:master is a new series to bring a new twist, new gimmicks, and maybe even a new scale to the world of transforming robots. An instant classic to an already bright and vibrant world of robots, we hope Re:master will have a place in everyone's hearts......and on their shelves!

No physical prototypes are available yet, but Maketoys showed off three blacked out silhouettes, and although we all would love to see a product shown off in full for the reveal this news is still exciting enough given the characters announced: RM-01 Cupola (Chromedome), RM-02 Gun Dog (Hound), RM-03 Hellfire (Inferno). Click on the individual links to take you to TFW's discussion thread of each figure.

So what do you think of Maketoys apparent entrance into Masterpiece scaled third party figures? Excited for the characters? Let us know what you think!

Mastermind Creations Felissaber In-Hand Images

Posted on 01-23-2015 at 03:59 PM by ORIO under 3rd Party Unlicensed
felis6 Thanks to the weibo page of redbeanwang, we have our first few images of Mastermind Creations Felissaber! This final, yet optional, component to their Feral Rex combiner. Felissaber is remold of Tigris (aka Rampage) as a saber-toothed tiger. The head of the tiger has been made to be removed and can be utilized as a gauntlet. This figure can be used as an optional arm on Feral Rex to make him more symmetrical. He would replace Talon as an arm, who can then be attached to the back of Feral Rex. These images indicate that he's just about ready to ship to retailers if he hasn't already!

Now it seems via third party Dr Q, a subline of Dr Wu, Transformers is getting a new take on this concept, starting with Grimlock. "Babylock", as this unlicensed piece is known, is a take on what a baby version of Grimlock might look like - assuming Grimlock ever was a baby and not just built by Wheeljack and Ratchet in a cave on Earth. Check out the images attached to this post and see what you think.

Giga Power Guttur / Snarl Final Product Images

Posted on 01-18-2015 at 12:07 PM by Sol Fury under 3rd Party Unlicensed
10900121_1533722716894921_7337984329557744495_o Third party group Giga Power have updated their Facebook feed with a whole bunch of new images of their unofficial Masterpiece scaled Dinobot Snarl, Guttur.

Guttur is a big guy - much like the character he is based on - as can be evidenced by images of him next to the MP10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime and Masterpiece Ultra Magnus. There are also plenty of images showcasing the detail and the other features in Giga Power's first release, including an alternate robot mode head and a clear plastic cover for the dinosaur head, mirroring how the orginal Generation 1 Snarl had clear plastic in this location.

Guttur is expected to be released in March / April 2015, priced at approximately $199.95. According to the latest Facebook update, the first release will be limited, with 90% of the surface area painted and some bonus flame effect accessories included. In addition to the flame effect accessories, Guttur will also be available in two versions - a metallic colors version, and a chrome version, which will add chrome to the finished product in similar places to where it was found on the original Generation 1 Snarl.
