image We have a small update on Warbotron's latest project, a new and improved version of everyone's favorite genius combiner, Computron.

Board member icemanff23 has provided us with the first colored test shots of Warbotron's Lightspeed and Nosecone. So far all we have to show you are the robot modes, but they very much evoke the source material and look great.

These upcoming releases follow the highly acclaimed and very well received Turbo Ejector (Afterburner). They're scheduled for release in May and June respectively and can be pre-ordered from our site sponsors.

Keep checking back for more information on this project as it becomes available.

Staff Edit: We've added a few new bot mode pics.

DX9 Mini-Devastator Prototype Revealed

Posted on 04-19-2015 at 10:52 AM by Sentinel under 3rd Party Unlicensed
image We have news of a highly anticipated addition to the Legends-class War in Pocket line from third-party producer DX9. Posted on weibo by user ToysHome, DX9 has released prototype pictures of their attempt at a miniature Devastator.

So far this is only a partial reveal as the only figures that can been seen are the upper torso and arms of Devastator with the legs conspicuously missing. One thing to note is that this project appears at first glance to incorporate the combiner kibble into the figures for a non-parts-forming combiner.

It's unknown what the price point or anticipated release date will be for this project, but DX9's previous Legends-sized releases have been in two-packs, so it's not unreasonable to expect the same here, although a gift pack release is possible as well.

Make the jump to our boards to discuss this fun-sized project.

Perfect Effect Leonidas Color Images

27511008d1429090684-perfect-effect-leonidas-lio-convoy-fb_img_1429090642379 Perfect Effect has updated their Facebook page with some new color prototype images of their Leonidas, an unofficial take on Lio Convoy from Beast Wars Second, represented here as a full-mechanized version of the character. He's shown compared to several of the Takara-Tomy Masterpiece figures, though truth be told his aesthetic - which is part Gundam and part Zoid - lets him stand apart from most Transformers offerings and shine in his own right. Check out the new images attached to this post.

Mastermind Creations Seraph Prominion (Nova Prime) New Prototype Pictures

Posted on 04-14-2015 at 12:20 PM by ORIO under 3rd Party Unlicensed
seraph5 Ages Three and Up have posted on youtube a brief look at one of the next upcoming projects from Mastermind Creations, Seraph Prominion aka Nova Prime. We got our first glimpse of this project back in August of 2013, so this is one fans have been slowly waiting for. 2005 Board member Metaphorge was kind enough to take some screen shots from the video to give us a closer look at the figure. We can see two shots of the figure in these images and it gives us our first look at the prototype for the trailer. The trailer will open up to give wings and armor to Seraph to complete his Nova Prime upgraded look. Also from these images, we can see the weapons he will come with, which appear to be a set of dual revolvers! The colors on this figure are not yet finalized, but one can gather a black/white deco like Nova has in the IDW comic.

Renderform Stunticon Weapons, Menasor Heads, and More!

Posted on 04-12-2015 at 02:58 AM by Sol Fury under 3rd Party Unlicensed
27510284d1428792743-renderform-combiner-wars-menasor-heads-stunticon-weapons-rf017_r_l_01 Transformers garage kit accessory manufacturer Renderform have recently celebrated their fifth anniversary, and in doing so, have revealed a whole slew of new releases.

Chief among these are two different heads for Combiner Wars Menasor - Road Shogun, a samurai themed head based on a combination of designer Venksta's own thoughts and the Generation 1 designs by Studio Ox, and Road Bandit, a more Generation 1 cartoon inspired version. All three are being done with a choice of light-piped or painted eyes, and three different expressions.

The Combiner Wars Stunticons are also the subject of five new weapon accessories, based on the guns used by the Stunticons for their Generation 1 toys.

(It's important to point out that these photos feature the prototypes rather than the final products; Venksta notes that the prototypes shown came out larger than expected, and that the final size of the guns will be about 75% of their size here.)

Beyond this there is also a full on garage kit for the Prime Thundertron family of molds to give it a more Optimus Prime inspired head; limited run new versions of popular sword weapons Banshee Blade and Fury Blade; a limited second run on the Generation 1 themed Jetfire air rifle; and going back to where we started, a Menasor head - though this one is a prototype for an unmade Animated Menasor set, and is a nice bust to display with your Botcon 2011 figures.

Check out all the latest Renderform releases on the Renderform homepage.
