Mastermind Creations TFcon Chicago Exclusive Azalea* (Asterisk Mode)

Posted on 10-21-2014 at 08:58 AM by ORIO under 3rd Party Unlicensed
MMCAzaleaAsterisks 3rd party group, Mastermind Creations, has taken the time stop by our 3rd party forum and update us with their next exclusive release. This coming weekend at the first ever TFcon Chicago, Mastermind will release an exclusive version of their fembot figure, R-08 Azalea. Azalea Asterisk mode will be available at the Renderform and friends booth. The full figure has not been revealed, but Renderform owner Venksta hints that the figure is based on one of the back ground characters in the Generation 1 episode "The Search for Alpha Trion". This narrows are choices down to one of two characters. It is either "Greenlight", the green fembot, or "Lancer" the purple and orange fembot. Could the box for this figure be an indication?

We'll see this weekend, along with other 3rd party reveals, at TFcon Chicago. Click the title bar to discuss!

DX9 Invisible - Third Party Mirage

Posted on 10-11-2014 at 08:58 AM by Sol Fury under 3rd Party Unlicensed
10151143_1568045846749957_5182811639011887580_n Third party group DX9 have updated their Facebook page with an image of a new release they are planning - an unofficial version of Generation 1 Mirage. Said to stand around 16cm in height, DX9's Mirage is scaled with Masterpiece toys. It does, though, seem to copy portions of Hasbro's own Classics Mirage design, with the arms and potentially the whole transformation scheme unapologetically stolen from Hasbro's 2006 toy. Check out the image and see what you think.

Play With This Too Reveals Desolataur

Posted on 09-30-2014 at 09:22 AM by StayingInTheBox under 3rd Party Unlicensed
desolatour Independent group Play With This Too, the company started by several former Hasbro employees, provided an update to their first pair of figures, this time we are introduced to Desolataur. So far we have a design layout of this monster figure and a confirmation from Play With It Too's website that Desolataur "will feature the same articulation as our other characters and also come with a Tech Drone." The concept of spacemen vs monsters continues to remain in play, which was the main model of the 1988 Pretenders series of Transformers. We may be reading too much into this being the Transformers fans that we are, as there have not been concrete homages connected to these original designs.

Also interesting to note in this latest round of updates is a little background for the toy designers of this company, specifically regarding the head sculpts which will be made available in three packs: "Along with our figures, we’ll also be offering sets of three heads. These heads work with most 6″ action figures – not just figures produced by PWTToo. We’ve given our designers free range to create what they want to create. “After years of working for huge micromanaging corporations with lots of unnecessary oversight where designers are told what to design by marketers, non-product purchasing focus groups and huge brick and mortar stores, our designers can finally get back to being just that… Creative designers.” – Rik Alvarez" The three head sculpts featured are Terribull, Skull-FCKR, and Madwing, designed by Steve Redinger.

Check out the latest round of updates after the jump and continue the speculation about this new company's toy line.

GCI G1 Toy-styled Shoulder Cannons for MP-20 Wheeljack

Posted on 09-30-2014 at 03:38 AM by Superquad7 under 3rd Party Unlicensed
GCI-Jack-MP-20-launchers-01 The newly-formed 3rd party garage kit company, the Guild of Concoctionous Intent (or simply "GCI," for short) announce that they will be making a set of add-on accessories for the recent MP-20 Masterpiece Wheeljack. One of the founders of GCI, Dr. Killinger, had this to say:

"Hello ladies an gentlemen, today I am very proud to present a GCI original product, G1 Style Cannons for MP Wheeljack. These cannons are designed by TFW2005.COM's very own ATP Designs and will be produced in black resin by Froggy.

These will be a The Chosen Prime exclusive and the prototypes will be on display at his booth at TFcon Chicago.

The cannons will attach to Jack's connector ports on his shoulders and will swivel up and down. They will also include a connector to attach them in alt mode! The pegs are the same as the MP Lambo's, which means they can use them too

Jack's Cannons release date is set to December 15 and will retail for $39.99 for a pair and the "wing" clip.

You can jump to the preorder here: Guild of Concoctionous Intent - Jack Cannons"

Notably, GCI is owned and operated by TFW2005.COM's members Megatron31 and Dr. Killinger, who not only make their own projects, but also continue to add contributing TFW2005.COM Customs and Fan Art artists to their projects, as evidenced in the release above. Both of these members are long-time contributors to our Radicons Customs, and you can see their work and the work of many others in our Creative Forums here.
