Iron Factory EX-02 Unofficial Slammer and Sixgun add-ons for Generations Metroplex

Posted on 04-17-2014 at 01:39 AM by Sol Fury under 3rd Party Unlicensed
IMG-20140417-WA0001 Third party group Iron Factory have revealed an upcoming project on their Weibo to produce an unofficial Sixgun for Generations Metroplex. You might be thinking "big deal, TFC / Before & After / X-2 Toys already did that" but this one is a bit different - for one, Metroplex's tank drone Slammer is also coming along, and both of these Slammer and Sixgun drones are around Legends size like the Scamper included with Metroplex already. Unlike other efforts, the Sixgun splits up into a series of smaller guns to power up Metroplex rather than just give him one big gun, and the set also includes a pair of additional tank drones, each of which splits into five smaller weapons to further arm Metroplex, or other Generations toys.

It's an interesting project, check out the images attached to this post.

GI Eddie & Echo TF FansProject Stunticons Upgrades

Posted on 04-14-2014 at 01:30 AM by Sol Fury under 3rd Party Unlicensed
10264415_618235444929799_3338854852620149997_n An upgrade for an unofficial third party transforming robot set, you say? Yes, it seems that hot on the heels of the recently completed FansProject Menasor / Stunticons, an upgrade is being made for the set by GI Eddie (who made an alternate head for TFC's Hercules Devastator) and Echo TF (who made an upgrade for Fall of Cybertron Bruticus). The designs are in shapeways prototypes at the moment, but the intention is to move into full production - check out a sampling of images attached to this story, and check out full details on the Echo TF Facebook page.

Unique Toys Soundmixer (Unofficial Blaster) Colored Prototype Images

Posted on 04-03-2014 at 06:03 PM by ORIO under 3rd Party Unlicensed
Soundmixer5 Site sponsors Robot Kingdom and TFsource have both provided new colored images of Unique Toys' next 3rd party offering - Soundmixer. Soundmixer is a "Classics"-sized and updated interpretation of G1 Blaster. The figure transforms into a slavish representation of his Generation 1 ghetto blaster alternate mode. The figure cannot hold Generation 1 or KFC Toys sized cassettes in his chest compartment, but it does open to store his gun which folds up into a cassette of it's own. Soundmixer will come with armor for his arms, chest and head as well as a bullhorn for maximum volume.

Check out all of the great pictures, including size comparisons to other Unique Toys offerings like Mania King, the upcoming Salmoore, KFC Cassettes and all of the figures poseability after the jump.

Mastermind Creations - Tyrantron XLR? Or A Teaser For Something Else?

Posted on 03-31-2014 at 12:17 PM by ORIO under 3rd Party Unlicensed
MMC-Tyrannotron Mastermind Creations has posted an announcement of a new project in our 3rd party Transformers forum. This new announcement shows off a new figure that transforms into a gun that appears to be a homage to G1 Megatron. However, given that tomorrow is April Fools Day, this announcement should be taken with a grain of huge salt. In the past, Mastermind Creations has used April Fools Day to tease a new project under the guise of something else entirely. For example, Predaqueen and Knight Morpher Cyclops. So, what could this new figure be teasing? To this newsie, it definitely appears to have similarities to a certain Decepticon dispenser of Justice who is generous when it comes to sharing his face with his victims. Fans of the IDW More Than Meets The Eye original Character Vos, look to be in for a treat!

Could this be our first hint at a new line of Decepticon Justice Division toys from Mastermind Creations? Stay tuned on TFW.

MakeToys Reveals City Bot Series MCB-002 Utopia ("Metroplex")

Posted on 03-18-2014 at 09:27 AM by StayingInTheBox under 3rd Party Unlicensed
utopia1-1 Hat tip goes out to TFW2005 boards member ki1983ng for pointing us in the direction of MakeToys website, which happened to reveal a full blown product that looks ready to be shipped out to collectors! No blacked out silhouette teaser this time around, MakeToys has just revealed their City Bot Series with MCB-002 Utopia!

Utopia is MakeToy's take on the Generation 1 Cityformer Metroplex. Although not much is known about this project, MakeToys supplied a full gallery of all the bells and whistles of the project that is listed for July 2014 - how accurate that is we are unsure since no preorder information has gone up yet.

Images reveal robot mode, city mode, and carrier mode, as well as accessories that include two blasters and what appears to be a small vinyl figure (no details yet given on who the character is).

Check out the full gallery after the jump and keep it here on TFW as new updates come through for MakeToys Utopia!
