Official Pictures of Universe Autobot Blaster and Heavy Load

bltsrob TFW2005 has received official images of Universe (Classics 2.0) Autobot Blaster and Heavy Load, both in and out of package. The images can be seen by clicking on the links below to their Resource Database entries. Also put into the entries are the assortment codes, product codes, and UPC/barcode numbers.

We have also received information that these two figures will be available in the first three Voyager assortments of the new Universe line, with Autobot Blaster also being available in a Wave 3 revision. Therefore, these figures will be avialable for awhile following the release of the line.

Movie Premium Bumblebee Found at US Retail

1210343210 The Transformers Movie Premium Series Bumblebee has just been found by one of our members at a Wal-Mart in Centerville, Utah. This version has the Premium paint deco and the battle mask as seen in the movie. According to the Wave 10 case info we have, this deluxe Concept Camaro Bumblebee comes two to a case of eight toys, so hopefully it will be plentiful on retail pegs.

TFcon Toronto Event Schedule / Pre-registration closes May 31st

tfcon-sample The TFcon Toronto website has been updated with the following: Pre-registration for TFcon 2008 will close May 31st. Advance registration is not required to attend TFcon Toronto 2008, you can purchase tickets at the door. However, if you wish to gain early admission to the dealer room you must pre-register for the convention. To pre-register email us for the necessary form. In addition the TFcon 2008 tentative event schedule is now online for viewing. TFcon Toronto is June 21st with special guests Hasbro Canada and more TBA.

Germany Transformers Animated DVD and TV News

Germany_flag German member hudemx has given us more Transformers: Animated news from his country. The Animated series will broadcast on Jetix, a Pay TV channel, weekdays starting June 23rd at 12:30 pm. Also, hudemx reported on Transformers-animated.de.vu that Paramount Germany will release an Animated DVD this August, which is likely to be the "Transform and Roll Out" three-part premiere.

Screen Actors Guild Strike Could Delay Transformers Sequel

transformers_shia_1205986054 Film directors wanting to get their product out in time to make their projected due dates for studios are scrambling to finish and even begin certain projects earlier than scheduled with a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strike beginning to loom large in the not-to-distance future.

The SAG contract with movie and television producers is set to expire on June 30 and with current talks over “new media” issues going no where, Hollywood is preparing for a long, hot and dry summer season of filming that could lead to a very cold and bitter fall with nothing new for theatrical or television release.

New Transformers Mobile Game in Development

tf-game Another Transformers mobile phone game is being made from Glu Mobile. It's a turn-based strategy game based in Generation One, with up to 23 playable characters. Teresa Palmer NOT in Transformers 2, Jonah Hill Negotiation End Confirmed

bay Transformers director Michael Bay has stated on his Shoot for the Edit message board that Teresa Palmer was never considered for a role in Transformers 2 despite a report last week from Austrialian newspaper The Courier-Mail. Michael Bay also confirms that Jonah Hill was in negotiations for a role in Transformers 2, but that talks have ended per previous reports.

Transformers Comics Shipping List for May 14, 2008

TFW2005 has recieved the official list of Transformers-related items shipping to local comic book stores for release on next Wednesday, May 14th. Available at comic book stores that day are:

For those unfamiliar with the Visual Works book, Diamond Comic Distributors describes the book as such: No Transformers fan will want to miss out on Transformers Visual Works, the book that collects illustrations from Transformers generations one and two! From the Studio OX Collection comes a series of intense, yet beautiful, illustrations that originally appeared in 1985 and 1986 in TV Magazine, Newtype and other publications. Also, many illustrations from Eiji Yoshioka, the official Transformers illustrator, are collected here, giving fans the opportunity to see some of the work that commands high prices on the art market.
