"I don't understand why Hasbro hasn't done this repaint. It seems like such an obvious one. Anyways, Scorpy was always one of my favorite 'cons. I was gutted when my little brother got this for Christmas one year. I can't remember what I got, but it wasn't as good as Scorpy, haha. So this seems like a perfect custom for me. I decided not to make him a headmaster as I'm lazy, haha.
The base was Energon Scorponok, and it was just a straight repaint. Paints were all Citadel color acrylic paints. The silver parts were painted with Adeptus Battlegrey and drybrushed with Boltgun Metal and Mithril Silver. The purple parts were Lich Purple, and the green was all Dark Angels Green. I decided not to go overboard on the orange, but wanted to include some bits as it was a reasonably prominent color on the G1 toy - so I just did a few bits here and there to 'accent' it."
