Microburst started off as a Ramjet. I wanted to make a Classics version of the purple Rainmaker generic seeker found in one G1 cartoon episode. I didn't want him just being a straight-repaint though, so I modified his wings up similar to Dirge's, except the forward piece folds backwards thanks to some trimming of the moving parts so the Canard wings sit up behind his shoulders so his robot mode looks different. I also added a waist joint by chopping off the Feaux waistplate and rigging it to be able to fold outward, and the buttplate had some trimming done so it could also fold outward. I then rigged the waist balljoint piece so it could rotate. Thanks to modifying the waist and butt-plates, he can now rotate as much as he wants without restrictions. The purple I used is Krylon X-metals purple, which is extremely shiny. He's not nearly as pink as these photographs show, which is a by-product of the bright lighting necessary for a white-background photograph. I've included one WIP photo that shows off just what the purple really looks like.
