I took one of the Beast Wars, Guildart recolors, and sanded down the organic skin and filled in other areas to mimic the shape of G1 Slag. The beast head was trimmed to look like the chrome flare and I glued the battle damage/exposed ribs together so I could remove the inner connectors and still use the hinge to open up the armor, on his belly.
I usually try to keep extra parts to a minimum but I decided to make a, fake, tank drone from the armor, instead of carrying it around on his arm. I gave it lots of weapons so he will be as much a threat when he is in bot mode.
When I first showed this I had lots of comments about how dull the body was. I need to scribe some panel lines into the outer shell so this is not 100% complete.
