"Although not an official G1 character...I do treat him like one, because I never owned an original Shockwave toy. I owned Shackwave. My Alternators version is based off of Alternators Meister and painted with Krylon Fusion Nickel Shimmer and black paint. I wanted him to look less powerful than the souped-up Alternators Shockwave. However, I did incorporate some pieces of Alternators Shockwave . . . specifically the arms and legs. The purple arm cannon is from Alternators Shockwave, and the purple "eye" is from a test shot Shockwave I received in a trade. The original owner of the toy was Weirdo from TFans. I placed a black piece of vinyl across the windshield to give it that tinted look, and the Decepticon symbols I used were made using Testors decal paper. They are a unique design . . . I was trying to make the symbol look like Shockwave's eye with a Transparent Decepticon Symbol in the middle...symbolizing that Shackwave here is a member of Shockwave's army."
