After seeing Reprolabels amazing Mustang Boss sticker set, I decided that Grimlock NEEDED to be painted like the classic '70s Mustang Boss! It was just an added bonus that Grimlock happened to be blue in G2. The blue is a custom mix, a bit darker than the true Boss blue in order to better relate to the G2 toy.
Grimlock's head was also painted to resemble the toy, and the seats/feet were painted flat black.
