War Within Volume 3 3 Synopsis
Synopsis Submitted By: Sol Fury
Beneath Iacon, the Autobot resistance cell entertains themselves with the story of how Slamdance escaped from Starscream's massacre of the new High Council. The gathering is quickly broken up when Perceptor orders everyone back to their assignments - of which the Turbomasters are assigned to trying to find the long-missing Optimus Prime.
In Nova Chronum, the Autobot strike team attempt to bring in a suddenly-inactive Aerospace Extermination Drone. Unfortunately it turns out it was only playing dead, and it revives, downloading a subspace arsenal to power itself up, with which it makes short work of the assembled Autobot team, defeating each one of them in short order. The Autobots however fight back with a combination of improvised tactics and a do-or-die attitude, and eventually manage to damage it enough to force it to shut down and regenerate.
While this is going on, Shockwave's lab is wrecked in Orbital State Praxus. Shockwave believes that Frenzy and Rumble - who were on guard - were somehow responsible. But after his departure, as the pair return to reciting the names of deceased Autobots, a further series of explosions rock the lab as they reach Grimlock, leaving a ghastly, grinning face in the wall.
Back at the Autobot resistance base, Perceptor was called away from his think-tank session with the Turbomasters. Although he left them with strict orders not to touch anything, they raced off anyway. The fastest of the four, Flash, accidentally gets turned around and races right back to where he started, accidentally driving into the spatial anomaly that Perceptor was analyzing - and exiting onto a strange, alien landscape...
