alternity Although it was previously reported that TakaraTomy's Transformers Alternity GT-R Convoy was delayed until January, news has surfaced via online Japanese vendor Rakuten that both GT-R Convoy and Henkei Ratchet have been delayed until January 22nd, 2009 from their original November 20, 2008 release date.

Japanese C3xHobby Convention Coverage - Alternity GT-R Convoy, Stuntron Wildrider and more!

21jq6aa xiaotao78925 of TFClub has posted a wide selection of images from the Japanese C3×HOBBY 2008 convention. On display at the convention is the upcoming Alternity GT-R Convoy (silver version) in all his glory. Also shown was a dazzling red and orange "Exile Perfect Year 2008" rendition of the Convoy IPod docking station, a very cool display showing off all of the Transformers Henkei toys alongside the original G1 versions of the characters, and an equally awesome Masterpiece Thundercracker display.

Nevermore of our 2005 Boards also informs us that the Henkei Stuntron Wildrider, exclusive to the C3XHobby Convention, has been released. This cool repaint of Henkei Hot Rod(imus) also has a clever pun in its name - while most Transformers Henkei releases are called "Henkei! Henkei! Transformers" (literally, Transform! Transform! Transformers" Stuntron Wildrider is "Gentei! Gentei! Transformers" (literally, "Limited Edition! Limited Edition").

New Scan of Alternity Convoy, Release Date Bumped to January 2009

gtr The CyberGundam Blog has posted a new scan of the prototype of Alternity Convoy. This Japanese release, the first in the line of a 1/32 scale figures in the vein of Binaltech, has also been pushed back to a January 2009 release. The scan can be seen by clicking on the image to the left.

Takara Tomy Transformers Site Update - BT-22 Convoy, Henkei Wildrider, Japanese Marvel Crossovers

charahpbby_02 Takara Tomy have updated their Transformers site with three new items. First, the event exclusives page has been updated with official images of Henkei Wildrider, exclusively available at C3XHobby 2008 on the 30th and 31st of August for 3'000 yen. Second, the page for the much anticipated Binaltech BT-22 Convoy has been put up. Last but not least, a page detailing the Japanese release of the Marvel Transformers Crossovers has also been put up. These do not appear to be any different to their US released versions, and go for 3'675 yen each.

TAK10305 Bigbadtoystore.com has posted a new preorder for the TakaraTOMY Masterpiece 02 Ultra Magnus reissue. Masterpiece Ultra Magnus was fairly difficult to find due to its limited availability on its first run.

The listing price for the preorder is $104.99 and is expected to arrive at their store in November.
