Deep inside hound longs to be human and feels that having a man-made body puts him closer to his ultimate goal, as a result he volunteered to have his spark transfered and often offers himself as a guinea pig for new binaltech technologies.
Unlike the first two Alternators, which were sports cars, Alternator #3 hound lends some diversity to the line with an updated version of his original alt mode. Now a civilian Jeep, he remains overall faithful to his generation one appearance.

A highly intelligent daydreamer, Skids often finds himself having to slam on his brakes while in vehicle mode to avoid running an unnoticed red light, or even rear ending another car.
Alternator #17, Skids, was another of the few non-sports car Alternators. While his alt mode was somewhat different than his original form, his robot mode bears a strong resemblance to the G1 original.

Tracks, who was already vain, is completely in love with his new body. His obsessive worrying that he might damage it gets him into even more trouble than before.
Alternator #5 Tracks is a direct update of his generation one self, keeping a Corvette as his vehicle mode, and a transformation and robot mode that are very close to the original.

In order to produce a living Transformer from the future Ravage's stored memories, the present day's Ravage was used to provide a life force, he is in stasis lock in cassette mode inside the car mode's cassette deck.
Released as Alternator # 11 Battle Ravage is a modified version of the earlier "Tracks" mold. His alternate mode is a convertible Chevrolet Corvette. In addition to mold alterations to make the car into a convertible, Battle Ravage also sports a new head mold, modified paint applications, and different rims.

Alternator #23 Camshaft is a recolor and remold of Alternators Prowl. His mold is identical to the Japanese Binaltech "civilian mode" Prowl which featured different rims, a new spoiler, and removed the light bar from the roof.

While he still retains his fatalistic outlook on life, Dead End has grown to like his new body and fears that one day he will have to be transfered back into his old body as his updated from is unable to combine with his fellow Stuntacons to form Menasor.
The first Decepticon Alternator, #6 Dead End is heavily re-molded and repainted from Side Swipe, Almost every body panel of the car mode was modified, in addition, the entire rear-end of the car was different, this version also sported a roof and new rims.
In robot mode the chest and head were re-moldedand he bears a strong resemblance to Side Swipe's brother Sunstreaker.

There was no Binaltech version of Decepticharge, and thus no fiction or bio for him, but there is an (in my opinion) interesting story behind development of the toy.
Alternator #14, Decepticharge was the second use of the Honda s2000 mold, this time sporting an interchangeable hardtop (a first for the line) a spoiler and a stock/racing car inspired deco.
Mold changed also included new rims and a new robot mode head, inspired by G1 Windcharger.
Deceptichrge marks the first time an Alternators figure wasn't a direct update or homage to a specific G1 character.

Rumble, also released as Alternator #24 (Nemesis Prime was #24 as well) was first announced at the European Toy Fair in late January of 2006 where there was shown a photo of an actual Honda Civic and drawing of Rumble in robot mode.
He, along with Ravage (Jaguar version) were the first Alternator Decepticons that were not remolds or repaints of existing Autobots.

Leading the Dinobots into battles at the front line on Cybertron, Grimlock fell victim to the enemy's scheme. He lost control of his dinosaur form and sustained a lot of damage to his body. Grimlock realized it would be difficult to repair his original body and form, but eager to get back into action, Grimlock agreed to any conditions. He went to Earth and chose to be reformatted into a Binaltech Transformer. In response to his determination, the Alliance provided him with a body of the largest class power, thus marked the birth of the most powerful BT warrior. Grimlock, now in his new Autobot form, is determined to continue fighting in the approaching Armageddon.

An expert in Earth’s culture, Meister (Jazz) is the trusted right-hand man of Optimus Prime. Meister was one of the few who was not affected by the Cosmic Rust. However, as he is required to take special missions involving secret investigation so as to protect the BT project all the time, he agreed to transfer his spark into the new transformable body built by Mazda. This gave him not only a flawless disguise for his saboteur missions, it also equipped him with the new GT system, enabling him to communicate with and direct a second autonomous body. With his “partner” (nicknamed “Zoom Zoom”), who inherited all of his knowledge, they now carry out all kinds of dangerous missions and not only complete them successfully, but with style, too.

Alternator #22 Mirage along with #21 with the first new molds to be released as Alternators but not in the Binaltech series (Though both molds did make appearances in Takratomy's "Kiss Players" series).
As blue ford GT, Mirage is quite different than his Generation One appearance, though he carries over many aesthetic homages to his original incarnation.

San Diego Comic Convention 2006 exclusive figure.
Though nothing conclusive can be found on the internet at this time, several web sites reported that Hirofumi Ichikawa had been commissioned by Hasbro to write a bio for Hasbro's San Diego Comic Convention 2006 exclusive figure, Nemesis Prime, but apparently in was never officially used.
A straight repaint of Alternators Optimus Prime, Alternator 24, Nemesis Prime was infamous as being hard to obtain from Hasbro's online toy shop the day it was supposed to be released.

As the leading Autobot to possess a logical evaluation ability, Prowl is able to immediately analyze and advise any situation no matter how complex it might seem. Because of this ability, he has become one of the most valuable resources in a world where history manipulation threats were exposed. Due to an unforeseen incident during his GT installation process, the “Laser Core”, the source of his life force, was lost in subspace. But thanks to the help of a courageous human named Chip Chase, a new life force was breathed in. Ricochet is a repaint/redeco of Alternator Silverstreak. He retains the same black and white coloring of the original G1 Stepper / Ricochet, which includes the signature flames on the hood and on both doors. Furthermore, Ricochet was one of the first Alternators to use an official state license plate - the state of New Jersey - which is, interestingly enough, where Subaru’s corporate headquarters is located.

Despite his strength and blazing speed, Silverstreak is not a warrior by nature. His incessant, tedious, long speeches sometimes bore those around him but also smooth over tense situations. This penchant of his is intended to cover his mental scars from past battles. Developments on Silverstreak’s body, which was preceded by the rest of the BT numbers, progressed beyond those who came before him, but the EDC Inspection Bureau was concerned about his mental capacity, so his consignment to actual combat was temporarily deferred. However, he proved his abilities by undergoing rigorous simulations and oral exams, achieving a magnificent comeback to the line of battle.

Outwardly good natured and laid back, this hides his true inner greedy and self centered opportunistic nature. Swindle had his name put near the top in the list of Decepticons to be converted to Binaltech bodies, even though many of them were in far more grave condition than he was.
Alternator 08, Swindle was the second Alternator Decepticon to be released. A repaint and slight remold of the "Hound" Jeep Wrangler figure, he featured larger tires, chrome wheels, a new head, an additional chrome front bumper, and a yellow paint job.

His calmness, combined with quick thinking and foresight, helped in turning the tide and even achieving victory in many a battle. Mainly serves as emergency personnel who instantly responds to distress calls, laying down plans that cover strategies for years in advance as an extra bonus before moving on to the next assignment. His area of operations was not limited just to interplanetary missions, but also included crossing the boundaries of space and time and even into other universes. Possessing vast experience in dimensional travels, combined with his acute insight into the flow of time, his sensory perception has been improved so he is now able to detect any abnormal changes to the timestream long before his fellow Autobots do.
