Notes
The Thirteen are a major part of the Transformers Prime continuity group. In the books Transformers Exodus and Transformers Exiles, as well as at panels at Botcon 2010 and 2011, some details on these original Transformers have been revealed, including their names and their roles:
Prima, the warrior of light and leader of the Thirteen. Wielded the Star Saber. First bearer of the Matrix of Leadership, which was a jewel in the hilt of the Star Saber.
Megatronus, the warrior of darkness, later known as
The Fallen. Commissioned the Requiem Blaster from Solus Prime. Later murdered Solus Prime, according to Transformers Exiles, causing the first breaking of the Thirteen. A reference in one of Vector Prime's chapters in Exodus implies he was imprisoned somewhere in the universe...
Alpha Trion, the chronicler. Wielder of the Quill, he chronicles the tales of Cybertron in
The Covenant of Primus. The teacher and mentor of Orion Pax / Optimus Prime in Transformers Exodus. Mentioned by Smokescreen in
New Recruit as being in charge of the Iacon Hall of Records, and being the one responsible for convincing Halogen and the Autobot High Council to raise Orion Pax to the position of Prime, consistent with Transformers Exodus.
Vector Prime. One of his associated artifacts are the Blades of Time, which allows passage into a pocket universe into which he withdrew, growing tired of the endless warfare among his brothers. It is said he was the moral exemplar of the Thirteen, and that his faith was forever shaken by the betrayal of Liege Maximo. Appears in Transformers Exiles.
Solus Prime, the weaponsmith. She forged many of the weapons and artifacts of the 13 and is the archetype for all female Transformers. Wields a hammer known as
the Forge, whose primary focus is to create anything the wielder can envisage, rather than destruction. She had apparently enjoyed a romance with Nexus Prime, to the disdain of Megatronus / The Fallen. Her tomb is a location visited in Transformers Exiles, where a hologram of her imparts advice to Optimus Prime. She was slain by The Fallen.
Nexus Prime, the "wizard of forms". The archetype of combiner Transformers. It is said that he split himself into five pieces, each piece bearing a fragment of the Star Saber, to scatter it to the stars. In reality, it was the Cyber Caliber that each of his five parts bore - these five were those who came to be known as Mainspring, Clocker, Chaindrive, Pinion and Cannonspring according to Exiles. After reviving to assist Optimus Prime in Transformers Exiles, he divided once again, dividing the Cyber Caliber once again. Nexus Prime is also said to have once enjoyed a close relationship, possibly a romance, with Solus Prime, which earned him the particular enmity of The Fallen and Liege Maximo.
Amalgamous Prime, the trickster. Archetype of "shapeshifter" Transformers such as Makeshift, who can assume the forms of other robots and impersonate them.
Alchemist Prime, one of the very last members of the Thirteen to remain on Cybertron with Alpha Trion, overseeing the development of the Transformers race.
Liege Maximo. Considered to be even more despicable than The Fallen by Alpha Trion for his plotting and setting bot against bot, although the exact nature of his crimes are not revealed in Exiles, though his throneworld in the Generation 2 comic - The Hub - is mentioned in Exodus. He had a fierce rivalry - hatred, even - with Nexus Prime. He fled into the stars, but was pursued by Nexus. His final fate is unknown.
In addition to these nine, a Prime who is the archetype of the Mini-cons and one who is the archetype of beast mode Transformers have been referred to by Hasbro staff member Rik Alvarez (it's possible though that one of these might have been Alchemist Prime though).

The Requiem Blaster
The Blades of Time
The Quill & The Covenant of Primus
