He's a hot muscle car, and also the Autobot who's been on Earth the longest. So he knows humans best, which helps explains why he's so serious about looking after Raf. Bumblebee's voicebox was damaged on Cybertron, so he "talks" in bleeps and blurts. He may make mistakes, but he's eager to please Optimus Prime.

Cartoon Overview
The youngest and least experienced of the Autobots, Bumblebee compensates for his inexperience with enthusiasm. He cannot speak normally due to unexplained injuries from his past, possibly suffered at the hands of Megatron. Nonetheless, he is a valued member of the team who gets on extremely well with Raf, playing video games with him and imitating some of his antics, while also looking up to and idolizing the other Autobots. In Masters and Students, it is revealed that Bumblebee is a member of the scout class.

As the youngest and least experienced Autobot, Bumblebee can be talked into things the more sensible older Autobots would not go in for, such as getting involved in a drag race for Jack. His childlike personality also does not take well to being insulted.

In robot mode, Bumblebee's main weapons are twin arm mounted blasters. In vehicle mode Bumblebee can utilize an oil slick to make any pursuers spin out of control.

Notes
In the encore broadcast of Transformers Prime episode 53, Darkmount NV, one of the "Autobit" captions revealed that Frank Welker read actual dialog for Bumblebee, which was later dubbed over with his beeps by the sound team. So while Bumblebee does not speak in the show and Frank Welker is not credited as Bumblebee's voice, Frank does in fact put the words in the mouth of Bumblebee in a very unusual fashion.
