 | | | | | | Jetfire | Jetfire Tech Specs | | Tags: Jetfire | | Bio: JETFIRE grew tired of war a long time ago. The reckless ambition of the DECEPTICONS, and the senseless violence of their war sickened him, and so he left CYBERTRON to go into hiding. The form he eventually chose on Earth seemed appropriate for one who wished to remain unseen. He slumbered in peace for years. Now, reawakened by the arrival of the war on Earth, he decided once again to enter the fight - this time on the side of the AUTOBOTS, and this time to end it for good, whatever the cost. | Strength: | 8 | Intelligence: | 8 | | Speed: | 9 | Endurance: | 4 | | Rank: | 5 | Courage: | 7 | | Firepower: | 9 | Skill: | 5 | | | | | | On eBay Right Now! | | | Jetfire Images | | | | Jetfire Toy Information | | Additional Toy Info: Jetfire combines with Revenge of the Fallen Leader Class Optimus Prime to form "Power Up Optimus Prime". | | | Jetfire Parts List | | | | | Jetfire Cartoon / Movie Information | | Cartoon Overview An ancient Transformer, Jetfire has been dormant in the Smithsonian for years. He is revived when Sam, Mikaela, Leo and Simmons (with some help from Wheelie) track him down and use the second Allspark fragment on him.
Revived, Jetfire proves to be a crotchety old Transformer, but he is able to help the humans unravel the mystery of strange, Allspark induced visions of Cybertronian symbols that had been haunting Sam. He does not care for the "silly civil war" and swapped sides long ago, prompting Wheelie to do the same. He also helps the humans, as well as Mudflap, Skids and Bumblebee get to Egypt by opening a Spacebridge, although the process is not flawless because Sam hurts his hand in the process. Jetfire, exhausted by the effort, sends the humans on their way.
Later, during the final battle, Jetfire shows up to save Sam and Mikaela from a Mixmaster type Decepticon, hitting him several times with his cane, destroying him. He is then surprised by the sudden appearance of Scorponok. Scorponok inflicts significant damage on Jetfire, but Jetfire counterattacks by smashing Scorponok to pieces and crushing his skull under his fist.
When Optimus Prime is revived, Jetfire exclaims that he never thought he would see a living Prime, and offers up his body as an upgrade, tearing his spark chamber out stating that he had never done anything worthwhile with his life - until now. By his heroic sacrifice, Optimus Prime achieved the power that he needed to defeat Megatron and The Fallen. Appearances
