Unfortunately, they have so much difficulty hanging onto each other in vehicle mode that they spend more time struggling to stay on the road then they do fighting.

Cartoon Overview
This Ice Cream truck alternate mode is the form taken by Skids and Mudflap at the beginning of Revenge of the Fallen. Following their dismal performance in Shanghai, they were given upgrades into their individual vehicle forms (although this is never outright stated in the film - all that is suggested is that the new vehicle modes are upgrades of their initial ice cream truck form which this toy represents).
