Cartoon Overview
Ariel was the girlfriend to Orion Pax, the future Optimus Prime. Like Orion and Dion, she greatly admired the Decepticons and their ability to fly - right up until they shot and killed her.

While she was never shown rebuilt on screen, Alpha Trion's last line implies he rebuilt her as Elita-1, seemingly confirmed when Elita showed up in The Search for Alpha Trion.

Notes
According to writer David Wise, Ariel and Dion were intended to simply be characters to be killed to drive home how evil the Decepticons actually were. They were never intended to be reborn as anyone. A last minute script addition made Ariel into Elita-1, but this was not the original intention.
