Barricade is the Decepticon "bad cop" who killed the good cop. His first appearance in the film had him picking up Frenzy after Frenzy departed Air Force One. He learned from the data that Frenzy had obtained that the key to his mission - learning the location of Megatron and the Allspark - lay with an Ebay item for sale by Ebay user Ladiesman217, aka Sam Witwicky.
Barricade located Sam, who was fleeing from Bumblebee, and cornered him in a parking garage. After toying with him in vehicle mode, and transforming his headlights into evil looking probes, Barricade revealed his robot mode to the terrified Sam.
"Are you Ladiesman217? Where are the glasses!?"
Sam made a run for it, running into Mikaela, and both were rescued from Barricade by Bumblebee. After a car chase that lasted into the night, Bumblebee took a stand at a remote power plant area, where he defeated Barricade in single combat.
Barricade was seen briefly when the rest of the Decepticons were mobalising for the attack on the Autobots and their allies at Mission City, however he was nowhere to be seen during the final battle. While the original script and official movie adaptations have Barricade killed in battle by Optimus Prime, the Movie's writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman confirmed that Barricade was not killed.  In the IDW Official Movie Prequel, Barricade along with the other Decepticons arrives on Earth in 2003 and scans a vehicle mode. Barricade then takes on Bumblebee in Colorado.
In the Target Movie Prequel, Barricade arrives in Afganistan with the other Decepticons. Unlike the others who engaged in the wholesale slaughter of the humans they found at a military base near their point of arrival, Barricade stepped forward claiming to be "working on the inside. I'm here to serve and protect you". He quickly dropped the facade as soon as the humans appeared to believe him and lowered their weapons. He almost got hit by a human EMP weapon, if not for Wreckage taking the bullet for him. | |

Additional Comic Information
Titan UK
Barricade also appeared in "Starscream's Militia" in the UK Transformers comics by Titan. This comic, set after the defeat of the Decepticons at Mission City, has Starscream reanimate the destroyed Decepticons using bits of Allspark Energy culled from objects animated by the Allspark in the final battle, such as the Mountain Dew vending machine 'bot. Barricade's reanimated corpse carried its severed head in one hand, which ties in to the IDW Movie Adaptation comic, where Barricade's death at the hand of Optimus Prime involved him being thrown into a highway support pillar, his head being blasted off in the explosion that followed.
