At first, Vehicons thought Battle Unicorn would be an easy target - but then they had to fight against him. Underneath his striking, armored facade is an extremely powerful warrior. Hooves are silent on any terrain but stomping causes seismic disturbances that scramble Vehicon receptors. Armed horn can penetrate most metals and alloys with destructive results. Skill with battle-ax in Robot Mode causes Vehicons to scatter the second he converts. In both modes, special armor plating makes Battle Unicorn invisible to Vehicon radar. Uniquely able to teleport within a 500 foot radius. Certain Vehicon Generals still doubt he really exists.

Megatron's method for removing the organic elements in him is riddled with unknown side effects, the first of which is Beast Changer. A completely organic Warrior born of the by-products of Megatron's organic elements, Beast Changer is his own breed. Extremely powerful with acute senses. In Wolf Mode, claws and teeth rip through synthetic alloys with a vengeance. Capable of flight in Beast Mode, and scales offer more protection than any type of known Vehicon armor. Has genuine hatred for Megatron, but Maximals are still cautious and unsure of him due to his origin. Nightscream sympathizes with the self-proclaimed "outcast".

Despite Predacon past, Blackarachnia detests Megatron and fights with the Maximals. The definitive femme fatale, she despises life's pleasantries, though sometimes can't help but feel an affinity towards certain Cybertronians. Her history of treachery and double-dealing make fellow Maximals distrustful. Spins metal-deteriorating webs that deflect energy pulses. Two stinger legs disrupt/overload any electronic system. Can ground herself with legs and use stingers to send electronic pulses through the ground towards enemies. Six eyes are hyper sensitive to enemies and targets.

Saved by Rattrap from the effects of the conversion freezing virus, Buzzsaw is grateful to the Maximal cause. Impressive aerial abilities and tendency towards gossip make him an excellent reconnaissance scout - likes to be the buzz about town. Multi-function stinger can pierce even the most impenetrable armor and functions as a highly sensitive receiver/transmitter. Slightly proud, often heard referring to himself as "the bee's knees", a statement none of his Maximal associates can discern.

Relentlessly hunted by Megatron and frustrated by Optimus Primal's beliefs, Cheetor swipes the blueprints oft he Beast Riders technology and creates his own individualized transport. Encased in a unique Quintessian alloy recovered from the lower levels of Cybertron, Che is impervious to most artillery attacks. Razor-sharp battering rams slice through barriers while front-mounted galvaconductors emit 10,000-volt charges to neutralize any obstacle. When in pursuit mode and at full acceleration, Che can reach hypersonic speeds while maintaining incredible maneuverability. Only Cheetor can operate Che at its peak performance through the focus and balance of his spark energy interface, but allows his fellow Maximals to pilot it in his absence.

Formerly hot-headed and inexperienced, Cheetor is growing up fast on Cybertron; still remains Optimus Primal's strongest supporter in the Techno-Organic war against Megatron and his Vehicons. His beast mode offers cheetah-like speed, agility and endurance. Sharp, powerful claws and jaws. Robot mode has enhanced, frictionless body surface that causes energy pulses to glide right off. Cheetor can accelerate particles around his aerodynamic form to create a vacuum useful in knocking down opponents.

Night Slash Cheetor's prowess in battle grows as rapidly as he moves over the surface of Cybertron. Boasts incredible speed and maneuverability. When used with highly advanced stealth armor, he's virtually invisible to every known Vehicon radar or tracking system. Hits before Vehicons even know it. Will eliminate entire battalion of drones single-handedly. New armor includes vicious dual blade sword attack that makes all Vehicons keep their distance in battle. His abilities have negative psychological effect on Vehicon generals, whose drones seem to be useless in combat.

Cheetor continues to mature as rapidly as he moves over the surface of Cybertron. Remains Optimus Primal's strongest supporter, and one of the most formidable warriors against Megatron and his Vehicons. Beast mode provides him with cheetah-like speed and agility, matched with amazing endurance and enhanced vision. In Robot mode, becomes impossible target thanks to body surface that repels virtually any and all energy pulses without damage. Expertise with multi-function sword makes Vehicons keep their distance - if they can.

Beneath his battle-hardened exterior resides a Maximal defender who's all talk and minimal do. His boastful attitude and swaggering tough guy style disguise a hero who, when the microchips are down, retreats in a klick. As a former apprentice to an ancient Autobot tracker, Dillo was taught how to use the mace bollo. The only drawback is that he usually uses it when he's retreating. Nightscream has every intention of changing that.

One of the few Maximals capable of aerial operations, Geckobot is extremely swift and maneuverable when flying. Equipped with storage cell on back that powers a variety of energy pulse weapons. Wings and tail act as super-sensitive energy receptors, giving Geckobot a high level of endurance during long-range reconnaissance or attack missions. Very intelligent and create - enjoys constructing 'garbage art' sculpture out of destroyed Vehicons.

Not known for his intelligence or cunning, Hammerstrike is the best there is at what he does - destroy Vehicons. Of all the Maximals, Hammerstrike is the most battle hungry. Insatiable appetite for combat; devastating "frenzy" assault leaves few Vehicon survivors. Knows no fear, feels no pain and has an endurance second only to Cheetor. Calculating and fearless, Hammerhead gives the Vehicons a good reason to stay out of the water.

Highly intelligent, Longhorn is a warrior philosopher. One of the most powerful Maximals, believes that war is trying but necessary. A talented strategist as well as front-line warrior. Well liked by his comrades for circumspect attitude and admired for tenacity in battle. Often shouts his slogan, "When I see Vehicons, I see red...and when I see red, things get ugly!" before charging fearlessly into battle. Generates paralyzing thunderclaps by stomping on the ground. Reinforced skull and horns release concentrated lightning bolts. Despite serious demeanor, Longhorn takes great joy in battle, especially when goring Vehicons. Considers himself a vegetarian.

Determined...deliberate...and often depressed, this subterranean demolitions expert can bore his way into areas where no other ally would dare tread. Recently reformatted following eons of deactivation at the hands of the Decepticons, this always dutiful Mol is usually called to search for organic life or to plant sophisticated silicon-encased explosives near Vehicon emplacements. When in bore mode, he can fire his metal tearing, serrated circular blade at attacking Vehicons with circuit slicing accuracy. He projects a negative attitude that makes his fellow Maximals a bit uneasy. Not exactly "the life of the party," but reliable to a fault.

Night Viper is the stealthiest Maximal. His tail acts as a repulsor rocket, providing supersonic speed. Internal radar scramblers allow him to move virtually unseen in both robot and beast mode. His robot mode features frictionless surface, increasing his speed and making him an extremely hard target. Armor alloys deflect most energy pulses. Recycles enemy fire into plasma venom blasts that short circuit Vehicons circuitry.

As the first known survivor of Megatron's conversion-freezing virus, Nightscream has brought a new optimism to the Maximal cause. He's living proof of the organic history of Cybertron. In Beast Mode, boasts unmatched speed and aerial maneuverability. Sonic pulses can blast through all alloys. Razor-sharp claws pierce through solid metal with ease. Robot mode gives him even more speed and maneuverability. Can drain enemy's energy and power himself with it. Also creates audio illusions which distract and confuse Vehicons, making them vulnerable to attack.

Optimus Primal, the stalwart commander of the Maximals developed his trademark valor and heroism during his role in the Beast Wars. Since returning to Cybertron, Optimus Primal takes on the new role, training his Maximals the methods of conversion - an art practically lost after the evil Megatron's virus wreaked havoc on Cybertron. In robot mode, he wields deflector arms which store energy and then regenerate as energy shurikens. Jump jets on back allow for short-range flight. Has limited insight into past and future. Can see and activate conversion potential in others.

Intelligence, experience, passion and skill are all crucial parts of what makes Optimus Primal the proven leader of the Maximal cause. His metaphysical views play a large role in the methods to defeat Megatron and the Vehicons. A master at the art of change and ability to actualize multiple mode potential in others. Easily the strongest of the Maximals. Can punch through most Vehicon alloys with his boastful fist. Capable of short flights while in Robot Mode, and Beast Mode provides him with formidable speed and strength on the ground. Will stop at nothing to save the techno-organic world of Cybertron and defeat Megatron.

Forged from the remnants of a control suit used to manipulate Optimal Optimus during the Beast Wars, Primal Prime is a hybrid of Maximal and Autobot spark-replication technology. Undeniably noble and instilled with a patchwork of convictions from leaders past, he inspires Transformers throughout the galaxy with tales of Cybertron's glorious history. Deflector shields and laser guided incendiary missiles are accessible in each of his four modes: techno-organic beast, Cybertron air guardian jet, armored convoy and heroic robot. The inability to comprehend his own origin is the source of a chronic processing glitch in his laser core and his only weakness.

Quickstrike operates best alone. Silent and reclusive. Very intelligent. Extremely dedicated to Maximal cause, though not entirely trusted by fellow warriors. Will only work with Blackarachnia though there's no love lost between them. A true expert at hunting his prey. Impossible to surprise. Can virtually escape Vehicon detection - emits an electromagnetic emission shield and walks soundlessly. Disappears in subdued light or shadow. Best weapon is enemies' anxiety, but sonic howl can blow Vehicon auditory circuits. Loves music.

Wisecracking Rattrap always has something snide to say, and is known as a chronic complainer. Recon and surveillance expert. Fits into the tightest of places. Although weaponless in beast mode, his tail is a major asset - tactile capabilities grab objects and act as an electro-whip weapon. In robot mode, weapon serves multiple tasks - can tap into computer systems, break codes and pick locks. His resourcefulness and intelligence are major assets to the Maximal cause.

A crafty and agile winged warrior who usually keeps to himself. When in battle, the small airborne spy packs a big time punch! He converts into an Energon crossbow, whose power was given to him by an ancient female Autobot resistance leader for courage in battle. Rav can "fry" the main circuitry of an enemy's data bank with a blast of arrows while in Energon crowssbow mode. When he's not scouring Cybertron for Vehicons, Rav enjoys "talking" with Nightscream via a complex series of musical tones.

Formerly a warrior with the Maximals, Silverbolt became the victim of the worst kind of crime. His spark stolen and reprogrammed by Megatron, Silverbolt was remade into the evil Vehicon aerial general, Jetstorm. With no memory of his Maximal past, it took Blackarachnia to finally bring him back to his former Maximals self. Reformatted into a technorganic condor, his wings create violent turbulence that topples Vehicons. In Robot Mode, eyes can fire static pulse lasers that paralyze Vehicons instantly. Silverbolt struggles to shake his Vehicon past and rediscover his noble Maximal ways.

To the Vehicons, Skydive is the true menace of the skies above Cybertron. Speed and maneuverability are unmatched within the Maximal ranks; makes him an impossible target. Reinforced, specialized alloys offer maximum protection if any Vehicons manage to get a lock. Wings act as energy receptors, supplying incredible endurance - always outlasts opponents. Despite stoic personality, Skydive takes great pleasure in "buzzing" secret Maximal outposts.

As a strategic genius, Snarl is a critical component of the Maximal command. Has the uncanny ability to sense his opponent's weaknesses and exploit them to Maximal advantage. Considers Vehicons a substandard challenge to his abilities - desires a match of tactics and cunning against Megatron where the victor wins the war over Cybertron. Has an ambush style of attack that rarely leaves his enemies the option of survival.
