 | | | | Oil Slick Fear is my ally. | Oil Slick Tech Specs | | Tags: Oil Slick | | Bio: Vehicle to vehicle combat is something all TRANSFORMERS are skilled in, but with OIL SLICK, it's a particular specialty. He knows more about how to disable and destroy a vehicle than almost anyone else in the galaxy. He knows that if he can break down the robot inside, the vehicle will come screaching to a halt. Canisters attached to his sides dump special chemicals that unlock the deepest fears of any robot exposed to them, while at the same time rotting wheels and burning through axles. Once the vehicle mode is destroyed, OIL SLICK moves in close to finish off with his chain weapon.

Oil Slick is, true to his name, an oily and slick talking Decepticon under Strika's command. As depicted in the comics, he is a Decepticon bio-warfare agent, and is personally responsible for taking down Rodimus (after Blackout knocks him out). He also sets up for Cyclonus' attack which disables Ironhide and Brawn.
In "Human Error Part 1" Oil Slick is seen among the Decepticons attacking New Detroit in Soundwave's virtual reality simulation.
Powers and Abilities
In vehicle mode, Oil Slick can release an oil slick that makes other ground based transformers slide about uncontrollably. He also possesses vials of lethal cosmic rust which when thrown at an enemy can quickly cause them to become covered in rust and be disabled or worse. Appearances

 Oil Slick met Ratchet a long time ago on Cybertron. During a battle at Hydrax Plateau in the height of the Great Wars, Oil Slick unleashed a Cyber-Oxident nicknamed Cosmic Rust on the Autobots and his fellow Decepticons alike, killing the majority of those infected. It was probably not the first time either, given how familiar Ratchet seemed with the plague. Oil Slick made a mistake this time, though, and his Cosmic Rust backfired and infected him too. He succeeded in convincing Ratchet, who believed him to be an innocent Decepticon soldier sold out by his superiors, to create an antidote to the cosmic rust. Upon recovering, he promptly unleashed a canister of the stuff onto Ratchet and made his escape. Fortunately, Ratchet still had some of the antidote left.
Oil Slick is also seen in issue #4 of The Arrival, being shaken down by Lugnut for suggesting that Megatron is dead. Powers and Abilities

Oil Slick was designed entirely by Hasbro without the knowledge of the Cartoon Network team, hence, he was initially a non-show character. However, Marty Isenberg wrote a story for Transformers Animated Arrival that established some past for Oil Slick. Oil Slick is also set to appear in season 3 of Transformers Animated.
The TFCC club magazine also published a Generation 1 style tech spec for Oil Slick, which makes reference to his adaptation of weapons-grade cosmic rust as a gel (so probably a follow on to his initial experiments with a gas version of the plague in Animated Arrival #3). It also mentions that he is a genius specializing in chemical warfare.
