 | | | | | | Wreck-Gar Anything I can do to help? | Wreck-Gar Tech Specs | | Tags: Wreck-Gar | | Bio: Wreck-Gar means well. All he really wants to do is help folks in need. Unfortunately, he's a terrible judge of character, and happily helps anyone who asks without thinking about what he's doing. He has accidentally robbed a few banks and blasted an AUTOBOT here and there. His Spark is in the right place anyway. Now that he's clear on the difference between the AUTOBOTS and the DECEPTICONS, misunderstandings like this should happen less often.
- Loves to collect things other folks throw away.
- Watches even more TV than BUMBLEBEE.
- Believes everything he reads on the internet . | | | | | On eBay Right Now! | | | Wreck-Gar Images | | More Images: Toy Gallery | | | | Wreck-Gar Toy Information | | | | | Wreck-Gar Parts List | | | | | Wreck-Gar Cartoon / Movie Information | | Cartoon Overview When Wreck Gar first awoke, he had no idea of what he was. He sought out anyone who might know, tracking down first the police department, then crossing paths with the Angry Archer. Angry Archer named him Wreck Gar (based on angry motorists calling him "Worthless wreck walking pile of garbage"), and the name stuck.
Highly impressionable, Wreck Gar would do whatever people told him to. When he was told by the Angry Archer to "steal from the rich and give to the poor, namely me" he stole the Angry Archer's loot and gave it to himself. When Sari said "catch the criminal", he threw Angry Archer up in the air and tried to catch him (although with a mighty shout of "Tally Ho!" Angry Archer grabbed onto a flag pole and swung away). When Ratchet said the Junkion was only good for one thing - garbage - Wreck Gar transformed and started spreading garbage throughout the city.
It was at this point that Lugnut found Wreck Gar, and when Wreck Gar copied Lugnut's "all hail Megatron" speech, Lugnut assumed Wreck Gar a loyal Decepticon. But Wreck Gar, in his wacky way, spotted the flashing light on Lungut's Punch and took it to be the Universal Greeting (Bah Weep Granah Weep Ni Ni Bong!). When he slapped the light, the Punch's detonator, he set off the explosion and forced Lugnut to take flight. When Wreck Gar grabbed on, he spilled some Nanobots he'd stolen from the Angry Archer onto Lugnut and they proceeded to start eating Lugnut alive. Wreck Gar saved Lugnut before he was completely consumed by unscrewing the affected areas. Wreck Gar then landed on a barge, headed for the city, and the nanobots quickly started to consume the entire barge. Ratchet tried to convince Wreck Gar not to steer the barge into the city, because the nanobots would destroy everything, but Wreck Gar refused to do anything, until Ratchet apologized for all the mean things he said to Wreck Gar. Wreck Gar then realized he could be a hero, and proceeded to save the day, before apparently being destroyed. But at the bottom of the river, what remained of Wreck Gar lay talking with the fishies...
The following Christmas, a surprisingly whole Wreck Gar heard Sari talking about being a hero with Scrapper, and lept out of the watery depths to join Sari's substitute Autobots. He joined in the battle with Soundwave and the Autobots who were under Soundwave's control, but he got turned about when the Soundwave controlled Bumblebee said "terminate the technorganic" and Wreck Gar attacked Sari. Sari quickly set him straight.
After the battle - where Wreck Gar proved more of a comic diversion than anything else - Wreck Gar set off to wish the children of New Detroit a happy Christmas - with gifts of garbage, naturally. Powers and Abilities
Wreck Gar can pull out literally anything from the garbage bin on his back - from fridges to thumbtacks, to his own Generation 1 toy! This ability is a bit limited since Wreck Gar himself cannot ever seem to find what he needs when he needs it. or maybe he just simply does not know what he has back there. Appearances

| | | Additional Wreck-Gar Resources | | Notes The writers of the show originally tried to get Eric Idle to voice Wreck Gar, but at the time he was working on Spamalot and so was unavailable, hence the writers cast Weird Al as Wreck Gar. They have expressed an interest in bringing the character back if they can, and if Weird Al is available.
