With Lockdown returning again and again to plague the Autobots, Prowl is determined to take him down, once and for all. To combat the Decepticon bounty hunter, he upgrades his body to its ultimate limit, adding weapons and armor until nothing Lockdown can do will stop him.

Cartoon Overview
Prowl's sidecar armor was a "gift" from Lockdown. The armor consisted of several upgrades - boosted jump jets that allowed Prowl to fly at extremely high speeds, rivaling those of Starscream, an energy blade that could cut or weld with equal ease, and a shield that shrunk down to the size of a wheel.

Unfortunately Prowl did not keep the armor - when faced with a pair of Starscream clones equipped with high powered bombs in their chests intended to destroy Megatron, Prowl used his armor to launch both clones high into the air where they exploded harmlessly.

The samurai armor was later reconstructed by the bounty hunter Lockdown. Lockdown planned to use the armor himself, along with the helmet of his teacher Yoketron and Prowl's jumpjet booster and hologram emitter upgrades. However, Prowl was able to wrest the armor from Lockdown and use its power to fight Lockdown on an even footing. This time, Prowl did not go powermad when using the armor, instead remembering his master's teachings in an impressive display of hand to hand combat with the bounty hunter. This time, Prowl kept the armor, and continued to wear it throughout his later appearances in the third season of Transformers Animated.
