Omega Supreme Cartoon / Movie Information

Voice Actor: Phil LaMarr
Cartoon Overview
Omega Supreme is the Autobot's ship. Some two million stellar cycles ago, he helped to win the war against the Decepticons, and had been left in a modified stasis ever since. According to Ratchet, he was basically not alive for that length of time. His status as a giant Transformer was known by Ratchet, who had been assigned as Omega Supreme's mentor during the Great Wars and was the one who placed Omega in modified stasis, and Optimus, who tried to activate Omega's robot mode as early as the pilot episode, only to find it was at that time locked out to conserve Energon.

Omega's early history was revealed in his second appearance, in "Transwarped". It was revealed that the Intelligence Officer, Arcee, was carrying the activation codes for Omega Supreme. Omega required a mentor, a guide to direct him because he was designed by the scientist Perceptor to have a less sophisticated processor than most Transformers ("so he doesn't have to think about the damage he is causing?" Ratchet exclaimed angrily on hearing the facts). Arcee was the original intended candidate for the job, as she was a teacher before she became an intelligence operative. But after her mind was erased and the activation codes transferred to Ratchet, Ratchet became Omega's partner.

After many untold years of battle, Omega Supreme was finally defeated and brought to the brink of destruction. He lamented how he, an Autobot meant to protect, seemed to always cause destruction like a Decepticon. Ratchet admitted he didn't understand it either as he placed Omega into an emergency stasis to preserve his Spark, where he would remain for many millions of years.

Omega was finally brought back online by a combination of Sari's Key and Allspark fragments placed directly into the ship's Spark Chamber. However, Omega is war-weary, and although when roused fights with rare strength and power, he has incredible self-doubts. Almost every request Ratchet makes of him during his brief appearance is met with a response of "I'm not sure if I can". He is still very much haunted by memories of Autobots who were destroyed in the Great Wars, and of his last battle "Decepticons everywhere, I'm not sure if I can make it". In "Transwarped", Omega's weariness shows once more when Ratchet hesitates to fire on his old comrade. Omega's response is that he wants to "sleep" again.

Omega woke up slowly, at first suffering from memories of the last battle where he sacrificed himself to win the war. Guided by Ratchet's voice, he came back online and blasted off from the side of the mountain where he (as the Autobot ship) had been since the end of Megatron Rising.

Racing to the Decepticon base, Omega assumed his robot mode with great reluctance, because as Ratchet explained, after seeing so many Autobots go offline, Omega was filled with grim, fatalistic determination. But when he transformed, he made short work of the assembled Decepticons (the surviving members of Starscream's clone army, backed up by Blitzwing and Lugnut). Sensing the other Autobots were in danger from the overloaded, out of control Spacebridge, Omega flew into the Spacebridge and absorbed the Transwarp Energy. He folded back upon himself, collapsing into the void right before the Spacebridge exploded. He was mourned by the assembled Autobots.

However, Omega was not destroyed, and instead acquired a new ability - the ability to teleport (or "Transwarp") at will! However, Omega's simplistic programming was exploited by Megatron who convinced Omega Supreme to take him to Cybertron. After the Transwarp jump left Omega drained of power, Megatron took control of the gigantic Autobot using a combination of stasis cuffs and Starscream's head.

Megatron then took Omega Supreme to Earth and used him to attack the Autobot's base. The Autobots drew him away and while Bulkhead and an upgraded Bumblebee kept him busy, Optimus and Prowl got inside Omega to try to take him offline. They succeeded in breaking Megatron's control over Omega (Prowl entered Omega's central computer to battle Megatron in VR while Optimus went one on one with the real Megatron). However, Starscream took control over Omega Supreme and turned out to be much harder for the Autobots to disable, even with Omega fighting Starscream's control. Starscream decided to leave Earth and try to conquer Cybertron using Omega's power instead, however, Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Optimus planted a malfunctioning Spacebridge component on Omega Supreme that caused Omega's Transwarp to malfunction and cause Omega (with Starscream and Megatron still inside) to teleport to random locations, one after another.

After picking up Lugnut in "Decepticon Air", Megatron is able to stop Omega Supreme's random transwarping, enter and leave Omega freely, and convert Omega Supreme to robot mode, although without Omega Supreme's activation codes, they are unable to fully control Omega Supreme. Unfortunately for the Autobots, Shockwave kidnapped Arcee and it is looking like he will be able to download her activation codes, changing Omega Supreme into a Decepticon. In fact, the true scheme Megatron had in mind was far more insidious - using Starscream's cloning technology, Megatron created three clones of Omega Supreme, and used the activation codes to bring the three of them under his control.

Omega Supreme himself was left on the moon in "Endgame Part 2" and used as a central control device for the Lugnut Supreme clones. However, after Arcee's memories were restored, Ratchet and Arcee were able to reawaken Omega Supreme all the way up to his full potential. After unceremoniously ejecting Lugnut and breaking his control over the Lugnut Supremes (which reverted to a self-destruct booby trap set by Starscream) Omega Supreme flew to Earth and fought against his evil clones. After a battle showing off his full agility, Omega was able to disable the second of the three Lugnut Supremes, however the last one managed to get the drop on Omega and throw him across the city, knocking him out of the fight temporarily.

After the conclusion of the battle, Omega Supreme transported the Autobots, their Decepticon prisoners and some recovered Protoforms taken from the Cyber Ninjas to Cybertron. After everyone exited Omega Supreme he transformed to robot mode, eliciting a huge cheer from the assembled Autobots. Their greatest defender - the great war hero who helped them win the Great Wars - had finally returned.

Powers and Abilities

Omega Supreme is the largest Autobot seen so far. He is programmed to protect at any cost, even if it means self-sacrifice. He possesses a vast array of weapons and lasers, and can receive energy boosts and tactical direction via his cockpit. He also possesses an internal defense mechanism consisting of grapple arms and lasers.

Following his self-sacrifice in "A Bridge Too Close", Omega Supreme has gained the ability to teleport (or "Transwarp") at will. This drains a huge amount of his energy and leaves him dormant for a time afterwards.
