Fearless tactician with a 'gung-ho' attitude. Always strives to have fun - even while clashing in aerial combat against the Decepticons! Flies at Mach 2.5 with 1500 mile range. Carries air-to-air heat-seeking missiles. Behavior often considered reckless by fellow Autobots - takes too many chances that can leave him vulnerable.

Planned for release in Generation 2 was a repainted set of Protectobots, much like the Aerialbots and Combaticons rerelease in 1994. Sadly these never made it to production and only a few samples were ever made.

Extremely energetic Autobot. Never tires of trashing Decepticons while traveling the globe. When not engaged in battle, enjoys speeding through the streets of L.A. or racing down the roads of Monte Carlo. Quasar rifle draws energy from distant stars. Converts energy into laser emissions to cut through enemy armor, or shoot tires out with instant power bursts.

An outlaw biker who thrives on combat. Must constantly maintain obsessive RPM levels, or risk dramatic loss of strength and speed. Autobots Beware!
| | Filed Under: 1995 G2 Decepticons | Views: 627 |
Fast, eager, and brave. Acts as a messenger and spy, although increased size and altered design structure make him easier for Decepticons to track. Idolizes Optimus Prime. Proud to serve as his teammate with fellow Go-Bots. Capable of lightning-fast speed, even during underwater recon missions. Although still lacks strength, his speed and stealth-like capabilities are invaluable.

Planned for release in Generation 2 was a repainted set of Stunticons, much like the Aerialbots and Combaticons rerelease in 1994. Sadly these never made it to production and only a few samples were ever made, with the exception of Breakdown who became the first Botcon exclusive.

Carries massive amounts of munitions into battle to support Decepticon troops. If Autobots begin to achieve victory, he instantly converts into robot warrior mode to join the fight. Armed with a double-shot missile launcher and crusher claw, he's a formidable fighter despite lack of agility and speed. Titanium / steel composite armor allows resistance to laser fire - but also hinders overall combat efficiency.

Whether on an abandoned dirt track in the desert or tearing up the tar at Indy, this Autobot defines the word speed. He's also incredibly versatile. Rear spoiler acts as laser deflection shield - converts to energy absorption panel when fuel is depleted. Nose is not only aerodynamic, but radiates electron disrupters to disengage Decepticon tracking sensors.

Born in a wind tunnel - no detectable drag resistance. Constantly feels need for speed through octane ignition turbines linked to internal coolant levels. If levels exceed accepted norms, accelerator control is lost and his temper flares like a raging bull. If enormous vented discs failed to provide braking power, he'd burn like a meteor!

Lives to fight, fights to live. Despite lack of strength, manages to spread fear and leave destruction in his wake. Disrupts the electrical flow in Autobot circuitry, causing major malfunctions in their defense processors. Fellow Decepticons respect his efforts, and envy his courage.

Stock car on the outside - Autobot engineered fighter within. Joined professional racing circuit immediately after arriving on Earth. The only time he drives faster than on the track is when he's racing into battle to engage enemy Decepticons. Titanium-plated hood protects power source. Always anxious for battle...and for a checkered flag.

Like his brother, Gearhead, he's a stock car built for speed! Lives on the edge. Seeks thrills and danger around every corner. Far more intense and daring than his sibling counterpart. when not in battle, enjoys roar of crowd while performing his spectacular stunts. Chassis construction sustains high-altitude landings. Reinforced body panels absorb impact with obstacles. Never travels without customized Racing Rig, which helps him "drop in" on unsuspecting Decepticons!

Always means business, and his business is to destroy Decepticons. Other Autobots feel he's more brains than brawn, but he's never backed down from a challenge or a firefight. Never shirks responsibility - knows his duty and is eager to do it. Currently he is hot on the trail of the feisty, enemy Combaticons.

Mischievous practical joker and troublemaker. Attempted to land and disrupt recent shuttle launch from Earth - plan thwarted by Autobot intervention (Aerialbots launched a flak attack chasing him away from Kennedy Space Center). Likes to fire missile launcher in front of commercial airliners. Sometimes goes too far - was nearly dismantled after putting sugar in Megatron 's fuel tank.

Daring risk taker with unparalleled speed. Maintains a passion for scientific research, believing that only through advancements in Autobot technology will victory achieved. Swing-wing design, supersonic combustion modules and liquid hydrogen fuel tanks allow for a top speed mach 4.2. Armor piercing missiles spell doom for Decepticons!

Meanstreak would rather drag race than fight, but he's never shirked his duty when called upon for combat. A blur in battle because of his speed, Decepticon targeting sensors incapable of locking onto him. Due to body structure and ground clearance, rough terrain reduces performance levels. But on smooth city streets, he's a devastating destroyer of Decepticons!

Another end of line item from Generation 2 that barely saw the light of day, the Megatron ATB was a repaint of the Dreadwing and Smokescreen set. It only got a very limited release into a test market before it was canned.

A criminal combination of brute strength, military cunning, ruthlessness, and terror. Copied Optimus Prime's ingenious example of radically reconfiguring his external structure to current design parameters. Now travels virtually unnoticed in race car mode while undertaking clandestine espionage purposes, but never passes up an opportunity for battle. Megatron has no known weaknesses.

Mirage is perhaps the most unenthusiastic Autobot in history. Prefers hunting turbofoxes on Cybertron with his high-priced friends. But he's an effective fighter and valuable intelligence gatherer - that's why Optimus Prime keeps him around. Electro-disruptor alters physical appearance for up to 6 minutes. Expert marksman, although remains unsure of the Autobot cause and can't be fully trusted.

Likes to boast about his own appearance. Engine and ego are equally enormous. Dislikes transporting materials in back - they might scratch his paint. Brain circuitry minimal. Intelligence sensors usually as empty as truck bed. Super-fast speed helps him elude enemy Decepticons, but he can be caught off guard when checking out his reflection as he passes store windows.

Internal reconfiguration matrix has allowed Prime to recently convert to various vehicle modes, but unquestionably this latest form is the fastest design he has ever achieved. Capable of approaching Earth's sound barrier, although shock waves tend to rattle internal processing center and disrupt intelligence gathering circuitry. Still, there's no stopping the heroic leader when trouble erupts. Megatron watch your back!
