Bio
Sideswipe is nearly the equal of his twin brother, Sunstreaker, in the combat arts, but less cold-blooded. Relishes a fight to the finish with an opponent. Uses underhanded tactics when absolutely necessary. Arms act as powerful pile drivers. Flies for up to 2 minutes with rocket backpack. Fires flares visible for 18 miles. Rash actions often lead to injuries to himself. Takes them all in stride.

Sideswipe Review

I'm proud to have the chance to review one of my all time favorite 1984 Autobots Sideswipe. I maybe one of a select few who actual prefer him over Sunstreaker. He defiantly wasn't as cocky as his brother.

Sideswipes Alt Mode:

Sideswipes alt. mode is a very slick and beautiful red Lamborghini Countach. The alt mode looks like it is a sports car from the Miami Vice serious which was also famous TV show from the 80s. The slick lights which resemble the vehicle. The tires are rubber which I love because it gives it a certain real look to it. Plus it seems today that all Transformers have plastic tires. The car is also metal which is very heavy. The spoiler also resembles a Lamborghini Countach which gives it a slick and fast look to it. The design will be later reused with Red Alert in 1985. The doors side up and down also on him. The hood has a very slick and shows how fast the car can be. I love how his windows are clear and make it look very beautiful.

Sideswipe Bot Mode:

Sideswipe bot mode looks as slick as his vehicle mode. His hood becomes his chest which fits very nicely. His head is sculpt very nicely. The head has a wise more mature look then his brother Sunstreaker. His front wheels create his shoulders and his doors also become his arms. His arms are silver and black hands which grasps his gun which is completely white. His legs are white and black. His feet is also silver which pop out from under the trunk. His back tires go to the side near his feet. His middle waste is black which alot of 1984 autobots. He has a rocket strapped to his shoulders. A white rocket goes into the rocket launcher. I love the rocket launcher Red Alert would have the same rocket launcher and almost complete similar body. Prowl and Bluestreak also have rocket launchers on there shoulders. The decals that has to be applied to Sideswipe make him look even better. Very nice if you decide to just display him. The only down part is and that is with all 80's Transformers no pose ability.

Overall:
I would defiantly give his mode a 5 out of 5 stars not because I love his character but because I love the design. Just wish he had a little pose ability.

Overall a great figure.
