Might be a dumb question but how did you make the translucent plastic parts red?

Just looking at the hips/wings part - did you mask/spray paint the various areas? And how much of it did you actually disassemble?

wow. Thanks for all the responses, everyone! I got the clear plastic parts red by painting them with Testor's Clear Red paint. As for how much did I disassemble? You can see in the picture above that I left the waist and the one shoulder together, but every single piece else was taken apart. I ended up with 26 screws, plus 6 pins on the floor hehehe. I masked off the clear red parts when I painted the silver, and I had to do the same for the waist part. ALL of the black parts are from Dye. I even removed that lil connector in his back that snaps the wings in place for robot mode and dyed that black. I love it, cause that drastically reduced the number of places for wear.

Oh yeah, I also masked off the Decepticon symbol on his chest, so there's zero stickers on this badboy. I JUST got him fully reassembled, so expect to see pictures tonight!

OK, I've shot robot-mode pictures. Once I reassembled him, I shot him up with another layer of clear-coat so that I'll be able to TF him and not worry about any chipping or wear, so I won't have alt mode pictures for a couple days. These aren't the best of pictures, I didn't do a full-blown setup as I normally would cause I was excited!

I painted up the fusion cannon/scope to look like the original toy's did, ie. dyed the tip black, and painted the silver stripes molded in it.

The rest of him was done up more like the Cartoon. I dyed all moving parts black, but I painted his forearms red (which is actually both toy and toon accurate), and I also dyed the gun barrel black which is a nod to the full-on rifle mode of Megs.

I painted the little details of the back of the forearms red (the sides on the other arm as seen in the fusion cannon picture)

To bring out detail, and be more accurate to Toon Megs, I painted the detailing on both of his sides red, and you should also note that I detailed his chest to look toon accurate as well:

I detailed his legs to be appropriately colored as well. Both Toon and Toy Megs had silver feet. Toon megs calves were all black, while the toy had red inner halves, so I compromised:

I wasn't going to get gun Megs but after seeing what can be done with him I might have to get one to paint up.

Awesome work! Glad to see (both here and with TFMaster's) that simply using clear paint on the green parts preserves the lightpiping. Also digging the use of silver instead of flat grey.
