| | After seeing REDLINE's kick ass version of Menasor when I first joined this board, I've always wanted to take a crack at one myself. I can't help it...I love combiners...the challenge the impose, the scale of them, everything.
I'm going to fix up the stomach area, and the arms will go slightly higher up (on the shoulders) so the shoulder joint hits about midway down the car's length.
Legs of prime mold fold back and upward giving wings/rocket booster-like shape.
Still thinking of how to do the feet, I am hoping to have the kibble on this gestalt form together in 'break-down' mode.
edit: it's late and i apparently went crazy with the electrical tape...lol
Phase 1
Phase 2
Sample of joint built:
Modding of Wildrider
Feet / Ankle close up (Phase 1)
Menasor Head Shot (Phase 1)
Pre-Paint shot
Motormaster Primed

Doesn't have to really look like anything, if previous TF trailers have been any indication. (or, you could build a styrene "shroud" that goes over all of it and becomes a shield for Menasor, I guess.)

Btw, HLJ.com might be a good source for Gundam hands... they certainly do 1/144 & 1/100 scale, they might be worth a look for the 1/60s... |

The only other place i've used for Gundam hands before is this place - http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/ - but that was ages ago, and Gundam hand kits do seem to go in and out of production in the blink of an eye. Good luck anyways...

2 Quick Suggestions / Ideas:
1: Use primes legs (unfolded + fab feet) for the menasor Leg Fronts - it's close to the toon aesthetic.
2: Try to use 2 different mods for the legs (cla. Hotrod, or cyb. Wheelshift come to mind)
Anyway, looking for ward to see the final product what will be surely be one sweet custom!
I JUST GOT THIS!!:
R.I.B = Rumble Is Blue
F.I.R. = Frenzy Is Red

(right now there's a spray can top for his stomach area lol) ACCEPTING ALL COMMISSIONS · CONTACT USING PRIVATE MESSAGING OR EMAIL |
