Derrick Wyatt on Animated Jetfire & Jetstorm's Jet mode and the Season 3 design sketches

Posted on 10-04-2008 at 07:04 AM by Sol Fury
Animated
Safeguard Derrick Wyatt has posted a further couple of tidbits of information on his blog about Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm. This time, he comments on their combined jet mode, which is also mistransformed in the pictures seen so far - the intended design involves the rear of the jet opening out into an "X" formation for a more impressive silhouette.

In a related news story, we also have an image of the two pack in the box, which was brought to our attention by Nevermore (amongst others) but slipped through the net with all the other exciting new developments. You can see it to the left of this story. Click on the thumbnail to view the full sized version.

Derrick Wyatt also commented on the Season 3 Transformers Animated designs, leaked yesterday. He mentions that "General Strika" has been a personal goal of his, and that Spittor is based on Don Figueroa's design of a pre-beast Spittor shown in the IDW Beast Wars comics.

A Different Kind of Transformers Animated Happy Meal Toys

Posted on 10-03-2008 at 04:07 PM by Sol Fury
Animated
Image008 Venezuelan member airfox shared these images of the McDonalds Happy Meal Transformers Animated promotion currently running in Venezuela. Unlike the US promotion, the Venezuelan Happy Meal toys consists only of Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Bumblebee. All four feature the same basic gimmick - they fold over to "transform", then when pulled backwards, motors make them shoot forward a short distance before they automatically transform into robot mode (and in theory, land on their feet).

Check out more images of these international Happy Meal toys by clicking on the thumbnail to the left.
