HasbroToyShop has updated their website with listings for upcoming Universe deluxe-class figure Cheetor and Cyclonus. These pre-order listings reveal the bios for the characters and expected release date (December 22) for the wave that also features Hound with Ravage and Starscream. This current wave of Animated figures consists of Swoop, Sentinel Prime, and Elite Guard Bumblebee. Cybertron.ca also reports that the Zellers exclusive Transformers Universe legends 5-packs Special Team Leaders and Aerial Rivals have also been released at Canadian Retail.

According to the official website of the city of Coronado California Dreamworks Productions had set to begin filming several action sequences at the Naval Base in Coronado on October 9 for a day. While Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is not specifically mentioned, it is safe to assume that this was the Dreamworks production being filmed. The website states that the work taking place would consist of "gunfire and small explosive visual effects".

2005 Boards member Red leader, owner of site sponsor Kapow Toys has confirmed that Chinese wholesalers have started taking pre-orders for Encore 13 and Encore 14 from TakaraTomy. Per the solicitations, Encore 13 is Trailerbreak and Encore 14 is Hoist. No release date or images have been revealed thus far.

According to the New York Times, Milk Media and Hasbro have reached a deal that will put Transformers on the sides of milk cartons that are sold to schools. The deal, which tells kids to "Drink Milk and Roll Out!", is aimed at using the properties to influence children to drink more milk and promote Transformers at the same time to its target audience. Update: 2005 Boards member nikkitony1 has shared a picture of one of the Transformers advertisements on a milk carton. The advertisment features Animated Optimus Prime on the carton side.

The Onion A.V. Club is reporting that it was announced this week at the National Association of Convenience Stores Convention in Chicago that M&M will have a candy tie-in product to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The M&M product will be a new flavor of candy, called Strawberried Peanut Butter. No samples were available, but its expected that the packaging for this tie-in will feature plenty of Transformers goodness.

Thanks to Soundwave84 for pointing out that according to Variety the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences board of governors has lifted a long standing ban on movie advertising during the Academy Awards telecast. This article hints that a possible Transformers Revenge of the Fallen and other 2009 blockbusters such as GI Joe could be showing promotional trailers during this years Academy Awards telecast.

In other Canadian news from October 11th-17th Toys R' Us will have Transformers Animated Voyagers on sale for $22.97 and Zellers will be having a buy one Transformer, get another for equal or less value for half price sale from October 10th - 17th.

Here is something that you do not see every day - 2005 Boards member SashaShame has listed an auction for a Prototype Hardcopy Black Optimal Optimus, from Beast Wars. This item, one of only two that can be confirmed to exist, is an "unpainted injection-molded hardcopy test shot prototype", a piece that originally came from the collection of one of Hasbro and Takara's designers. Even more images from the set of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen on location at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona have made their way onto the internet. These images show, amongst others, Bumblebee on set alongside many planes, some made up with military stylings, and several other vehicles under tarps. Thanks to Anonymous, we know that the Chevy Trax was on set along with the Centennial Corvette "Sideswipe". This is in addition to our previous report of the Chevy Beat on set. The insider reveals a few cryptic details of what is going on in the scene, as well.

The images feature the Bumblebee Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Trax, and Chevrolet Beat. The most exciting part of these pictures is that they reveal the license plate on the Chevrolet Beat reads SKIDS. Has the identity of the Chevrolet Beat been revealed? There is no official confirmation, but it appears that Skids is likely the name of the Autobot disguised as the Chevrolet Beat.

Japanese retailer e-hobby has posted two new preorders on its website. They are for reissues of previous e-hobby exclusive Generation One repaints Sunstorm and Black Megatron. Sunstorm is an orange and white Starscream redeco, based on the G1 cartoon background character and originally released in 2003. Black Megatron is recolored with gunmetal black barrel and brown stock as an homage to the mold's Microman original release, and was first released in 2001. The reissues will be released in February 2009!
