Universe Inferno and Special Edition Drag Strip Photos

156025262_56279 TF08.net's yizhi521 has posted more photos of upcoming Universe goodies. Today it's a nice set of images of the only known Universe new mold in Voyager size, Inferno. He's considered a Generation 2 homage as the 1993 version had a water gun feature on top of the truck, replicated here with a water-shaped misile!

The other new toy we see is Universe Special Edition Drag Strip, a repaint of Classics Mirage in his signature yellow. Check out all the mirrored photos at left, or the original threads linked above!

Animated Voyager-class Wreck-Gar Bio

wg On the recently listed pre-order page for Animated Voyager-Class Wreck-Gar, Entertainment Earth has posted the official bio for the figure. The bio can be seen by clicking on the Entertainment Earth link above or by heading to our Resource Database entry for Wreck-Gar. Wreck-Gar, along with Atomic Lugnut, is due out in January 2009 as part of the Animated Wave 6 Voyager assortment.

New Pre-Orders Confirm Upcoming Animated and Universe Figures

wsp TFW2005 sponsor BigBadToyStore has put up new pre-orders for several new Animated and Universe figures, some of which have showed up in computer listings, been confirmed by Hasbro, or are a completely new revelation. Animated Deluxe Wave 6 will feature Waspinator and Samurai Prowl. Animated Voyager Wave 6 will feature Wreck-Gar and Atomic Lugnut. Roadbuster Ultra Magnus is also up for pre-order. With the Universe line, Universe Voyager Wave 5 will feature Leo Prime and Overload. Universe Legends Wave 5 will feature Autobot Cosmos, Autobot Wheelie, Rodimus, and Warpath. All the new figures from these pre-orders are due out in January 2009.

Vendors have been informed that they should not be accepting pre-orders on the upcoming wave 4.5 as the line may be discontinued before then. Sorry news for UK fans. Animated Movie and Season 1 DVD Sets to be Bundled, Out January 6th, 2009

TFAnim_TFaROS1bundles TVShowsOnDVD.com is reporting that Paramount Home Entertainment will be releasing the Transformers Animated: Transform and Roll Out premiere movie and Transformers Animated: Season 1 box sets together in a bundle. The bundle will contain both previous packaging from the releases, either bound side-by-side or back-to-back with no additional content. For those fans who have held off on getting either set in order to have the first 16 episodes (considered by some to be the full first season) in one set, this set may be your best chance. This bundle will be released on January 6th, 2009, the same day as the release of the Transformers Animated: Season 2 DVD box set.

Paramount and DreamWorks Finalize Split, Steven Speilberg to Continue on Transformers

speilberg431x300 Yesterday, Paramount and DreamWorks SKG struck a deal that ends a partnership between the two production groups. Steven Speilberg, along with his other co-founders, will form an independent studio that is backed by Indian conglomerate Reliance. There are agreements in place that allow DreamWorks to co-produce and co-distribute several titles and DreamWorks will lead the production of several upcoming movies. Additionally, Steven Speilberg will continue to act as an executive producer on all Transformers movies although Paramount will continue to produce the movie series.

Two Preview Pages from Transformers Animated Jetfire & Jetstorm Pack In Comic

TFJETp13c-v2 2005 Boards member TerraDestroyer is one of the two artists providing artwork for the pack in comic for the upcoming Transformers Animated two pack, Jetfire and Jetstorm. He has kindly uploaded a pair of pages, page 13 and page 14 from the latter half of the book to DeviantArt to give a taste of what this full length, 24 page pack in comic will be like.

The other part of the book will feature art by The Boo and colors are provided throughout by Liam Shalloo.
