Listened to this podcast on my drive from Chicago to Cinci. Thanks guys for the amusement. Made the trip a lot more sane.

Did you honk as you went through town? It's the least you could do as a fan.

Just finished episode 300. Want to say congratulations to the Podcast crew for reaching another milestone (although as pointed out you've already recorded over 300 episodes), but still congrats on numbered episode 300 :D

I got that FFX/X-2 HD remaster, too, Aaron. There's definitely some things that are really striking about it sometimes. I've read that a lot of the original data files had actually been lost, so a bunch of stuff actually ended up having to be rebuilt from the ground up. One thing I notice very prominently are Tidus and Yuna's faces in the not-quite-closeup shots. The eyes in the closeups remind me a lot of the eyes in the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD remaster, too - which were AWESOME for that remaster... but look extra cartoony in this world. I didn't like em at first, but I got used to it.

Another thing is the music - again, I've read that some of it was remastered, and some of it was straight up redone. The battle music and victory fanfaire caught me WAY off guard the first few times I heard them - I had actually started playing it on a rigged up RCA to DVI converter on my monitor and RCA to 3.5mm audio on my speakers on a PS2 (way too much work, don't ask) and gave up when I heard about the release, so the original music was fresh in my memory.

All things considered, I always really liked that game (though Vangelus is right, it is definitely weird), and I'm pretty pleased with this remaster. Hope you will be too. :)

That's about the worst picture of me out there. Followed by all the other horrible pictures of me.

On the topic of your Doctor Who confusion, plenty of fans also were a bit put off by the weird pacing. That's more of a problem with Moffat's writing, not the show as a whole.
