Oh dang, sorry dude I meant to reply. Your defense reminded me what people would say about Mussolini "at lest he made the trains run on time" :D

    Naturally.

    No worries man.
Anyway I said it was the best possible defence of the man. Not that it was particularly convincing :D

Wondering the exact same myself. the Two man chats are ok. But having that 3rd voice from Gog there really helped. This cast made it sound like he's completely out.

There was no formal announcement that I've seen and the last 3-4 odd podcasts I simply thought he was out for some brief life change or something.

Is it bad that I did the same, then went and looked up the source, and then sat laughing my ass off at Stephen Colbert for the afternoon because the dude is hilarious and isn't on TV over here any more?

Well, we knew he was off on work and all that stuff, but yeah.... I hope he comes back eventually. Even if it's not every odd episode. And as much as I enjoy off-topic stuff (although I'll admit - I'm so way behind with TV shows, so I haven't watched any of the popular shows, such as Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones), it'd be nice to here more talk about Transformers, particularly third-party, that otherwise never get mentioned (or only get a brief mention).

I'm not saying "MORE TRANSFORMERS LESS OFF-TOPIC", but sometimes I want to hear a discussion on things (like I said, particularly third-party) that don't get discussed.

It'd also be fantastic if we could get some more classic stuff like The Unleashed Guy and Floro Dery. That stuff was brilliant, and I love THAT off-topic stuff the most.

Gogdog, Lupis and Drew are all welcome back anytime they want.

There is going to be a whole 3rd party segment in #263 but I didn't think we had a lack of 3rd party talk. Most of my "pic picks" and lots of the other guys tend to be 3rd party. There have even been some complaint in the past that we talk to much on the 3rd party and don't cover official stuff enough. So it's a damned if we do damned if we don't sort of deal.

I don't know how to bring back the Unleashed Guy or Floro Dery gags. Those where things of that moment several years ago and bringing them up now especially once Unleashed isn't even a thing anymore would just feel forced. You can only tell the same joke so many times. Isn't trying to come up with new bits better?

When Gog left, I thought he made it very clear why he was moving on and that it wasn't a short term thing (i.e. a month or two).

Couldn't agree more. What made the old gags fun was that they came about organically and were not shoe-horned in like some pre-written bit from a late night monologue.

As for the flow of the conversation or topics covered, I don't have any complaints. I've greatly enjoyed a lot of the non-TF tangents that Seth & Vangelus have gone on. Let's face it some weeks the news items are 3rd Party heavy, other weeks it's Hasbro heavy.

Listening to episode 2 of WTF@TFW, about to start episode 3... man, the "next time on WTF@TFW" bit was hilarious (although I understand why it can't be done these days, and honestly, I think it's something that works only works once). I still can't believe I forgot just HOW funny Drew actually is. British Drew Eiden is also great. It's a shame that the eido11/Vange1us "fight" has disappeared from YouTube, although someone probably archived it somewhere.

    :(

Yeah, I know, it'd just be great to hear them more. That intermission with Lupis recently made me really happy.

I understand what you mean. Don't worry, I'm not complaining, but I just mean there are some things that kinda go under the radar. A lot of rumours and those silhouette reveals and stuff like that. Stuff that probably doesn't actually belong on the podcast, but that can make for interesting, if pointless discussion (like the people asking for talk about the TF4 vehicles - I find it as pointless as Vangelus does).

As for the gags, I completely agree. My point was basically that I want new, possibly running, gags, LIKE those. Perhaps I didn't make that clear enough.
I mean, yeah, if you guys brought back the Unleashed thing, it wouldn't make much sense, although a throw-away thing about the Unleashed Guy working on something modern that is crap (like Airachnid) could be funny, but yeah, no need to force it.
It'd just be nice to get some new gags. Not that there aren't any, but I think the Unleashed Guy/Floro Dery stuff is probably what I laughed at the most.

Oh, I knew it'd be more than a month or two, but I thought it was more of an "I'm coming back eventually" thing. But it doesn't matter. I'd just love to hear Gog on the finale of PrimeTime (if he's up-to-date), because his rants about Prime are pretty much right in line with mine.

This episode was really fun to listen to during a long day. It actually reminded me of the Giant Bombcast at times where Vangelus and Seth were playing off each other like Ryan and Jeff would.

Man, that Colbert Report intermission was great. I saw the sketch on the morning re-run, but it was somehow even funnier listening to it on the podcast.
