agreed, i'm cracking up and occasionally a student will stop their work, look at me with a questioning look on their face, then get back to work.
I hope it's worse later on! I really wish i was there, i want to hang out with people i met last year.
I feel your pain but when you refuse to support funpub and just couldn't make it to tfcon, it just didn't happen
Just hit the ~21 minute mark with the toilet story. 'Tis fantastic. It's also the most graphic description of toilet use that I've ever heard. I'm curious - are the lovely hole-in-the-ground toilets in Japan like the ones in China - with no doors on the cubicle - or do they actually have some privacy? I still really would love to do the custom class, because it sounds like my kind of thing, but I don't see myself going to Botcon any time soon. I don't exactly fancy spending thousands of dollars to go from New Zealand to the USA, and the only real pop culture convention we have over here is really lame. Apart from the not-that-well-organised panels, it's basically a few big dealer rooms of mostly overpriced toys and Chinese knock-offs of props from anime and such. Then there are the cosplayers, 90% of which are terrible. There are some amazing ones, though, of course.
