I only caught up on the two most recent episodes this morning, so this is perfect timing for a Primetime to go up.

Unspoiled, no less, and no having to settle for crappy advanced rips!

After TJ mentioned that Micheal Ironside was Darkseid I looked it up and there are FOUR Darkseids on this show. Megatron, Bulkhead, Shockwave, and Ultra Magnus have all been Darkseid at some point.

I think the guys are being a little overly harsh on the Jack text bit. There is a justified criticism, but I don't agree that it was a moment of all out complete out of character stupidity.

To put it another way, I think saying that Jack is too intelligent to make that mistake may be giving the character too much credit. The character has made poor judgments throughout the series to make the bit of him texting his mom believable enough to me. Yeah, it was a bone head move, but Jack has shown to be kind of a bone head in the past.

When you guys mentioned how when Shockwave used the cortical psychic patch on Wheeljack and it it kind amounted to nothing, it gave me a bit of an idea. What if they revisit that later and maybe Shockwave uploaded either a copy of himself or some kind of mind control virus to Wheeljack instead. After all, the last time we saw it used, Megatron uploaded himself into Bumblebee's head. What if in a couple episodes from now, Wheeljack starts going around the base tinkering with stuff. Maybe he upgrades everyones weapons, and they work fine for a while, but as soon as they get in a serious firefight, they start failing. Sort of turning Prime Wreckers Wheeljack into G1 Mad Scientist Wheeljack. Maybe he even changes his color scheme to blue with bits of red and black. ;)

I had no problem with Jack, a teenager, doing something stupid. What annoyed me about that is the cell phone at all. Just having an active cell phone on can let it be tracked. It communicates with local towers. If that phone is on at all, the Cons should have found them. So have Miko turn on her phone to play a game as the bone head move if Jack's moment of concern for his mother is too hard to swallow.

I think at this point it's safe to assume that the writers don't give much thought to the science behind the show.

Enter Raf's magic haxor skillz and cloning robots.

For me, how the the Cortical Psychic Patch scene was edited seemed to heavily imply that they'd done a whole "Inception" deal on Wheeljack. We see the looming interface jack, suddenly cut to them talking about how it failed, wheeljack easily escapes their grasp... it really seemed like they were implying he was still in the patch and they were letting him imagine he got away, so they could find out where the Autobots are.
And then he meets Bulhead and Miko and that whole theory went out the window.

That said, still a fun enough episode. The Jet Vehicon Generals are still cool.

Anyone else think the end of this "movie" was kind of similar in parts to the end of DOTM?
The Decepticons are occupying a city/town and chilling out in their tower.
You've got Optimus Prime flying around all badass with his jetpack and huge freaking gatling gun.
And the one I got a chuckle out of, a group of Autobots are about to be executed, but then rebel. Only in DOTM Wheeljack died first, where as in Prime he was the first one to rebel! Almost as if he'd seen what happened to his movie counterpart. lol

I'm surprised you guys didn't mention Josh Keaton (Jack) impersonating himself (Vehicon Bob--Gary).

Also, the nominative plural of Magnus, going from the actual Latin, is Magni.

So I'm floored by the Hub's decision to air the first three episodes as stand-alone. This is their show. Their flagship show, by some accounts. Why they opted to roll it out in such an anti-climatic manner while some station in Singapore did it right is mind boggling.

Pretty much this. He was only worried about his mother's safty and let's face it if I was in his position I'd feel pretty freaked out too if I didn't know if any of my family members are safe out there or not. While it was not a smart move on Jack's part there was an understandable reason behind it.

Besides like you said he made some pretty dumb moves on his part in the past so this isn't being out of character for him. It makes him from becoming too perfect.

How did you guys miss talking about Magnus saying he "couldn't deal" with the wreckers! I was so looking forward to that! :lol

On a more serious note though, with Darkmount already being gone, it seemed somewhat necessary with so few episodes left, but it could have went either way I guess. I do hope that at some point there is a return of Synthen and we see some green Optimus eyes, it would go a long way to giving some solid reasoning for random green plastic in the voyager.

I think they did, they just kind of brushed over it. It's just kind of a given Magnus trope at this point. Like Shockwave and his 'logic'.
