Anyway, to the Autobot logos on Strika...

I always took their "we fight for Cybertron" mantra to mean that they were Autobots before BW Megs took over with his virus. If you think about it most fictions have the Autobots as the ruling faction on Cybertron before the formation of the Decepticons, so them being Autobots makes sense.

 

Listened to this and 239, some good opinions floatin around :J i had a look at that Megatron, does anybody think they could pull off a Metalhawk redeco?

I kind of like the idea of the 3rd Party Animated toys, and I'm not a fan of third parties.

 

I'm a big Galaxy Convoy fan, too.

 

You guys should definitely check out Go-Busters. Little slow in the middle, but oh man, the ending 10 episodes or so are fantastic! Enter is an interesting villain.

My opinion is that Go-Busters is hated because it isn't Gokaiger. Anything following a 35th anniversary love-fest is fighting a HUGE uphill battle. I dislike it somewhat because it didn't deliver on the spy/spec-ops angle it was originally billed as, but still good nonetheless.

 

No shit, I am in a chinese buffet that has pizza and fried chicken in it right now as I listen to the podcast.

 

I've red somewhere that Grimwing's alt mode was called an Ursagryph. a half bear and half falcon hybrid, but I know its a griffin. But his weapon/companion, Blackbeak is kinda cool. And I've already mentioned of my excitement for Generations.

So yeah awesome podcast and Aaron I wish I could help, but truthfully I'm cheap. But I hope your dog fights against this cancer.

 

On the whole subject of new generations toys following the spotlight comics in IDW. I really feel that this is just the beginning.

My initial point on this would be to look at a couple other hasbro lines... Mainly the Marvel Legends and the 3.75 inch figures. While these are better established characters and no where near the need for toy engineering, many of the fan favorites from now all the way back to the 60s are currently or have been produced. Sometimes its the same character with multiple costumes from different comic book eras. Hasbro could notice that this will increase revenue by doing characters from these wonderful books... just like other established media such as movies... And over time give us more and more.

I just hope that this won't be a case of the tail wagging the dog where hasbro notices that toys sell better when in the comics. So they would then suddenly force/hamstring their toys into the newest books regardless of the story. The cameo method has worked ok so far... but taken to the extreme I would easily find this counter productive to their media which should be a delicate balance of story and post promotion. If they force their comic books into overt commercials of poorly thought out crappy toys the opposite would happen... and I'm out.

 

You can add one more to the galaxy force homage loving minority, got my voyager figures today, love that TF Prime has given us figures for galaxy convoy and flame convoy.
