I've been wanting some of those IDW designs we're getting for awhile.
Especially the Bumblebee and Megatron. I'm happy we're getting them.

If you want an idea of how long it takes for them to make a toy based on the fandom's reaction look at Springer. That IS Nick Roche's Last Stand of the Wreckers Springer, and we're getting it how long after the actual book?
Granted, it probably took a while to find a good place to put him, but what I'm saying is you probably shouldn't expect many toys of current ongoing designs until after the next movie.

edit: Also, Listening to this podcast makes me feel like a crazy person.
I don't feel the cheaper plastic quality at all in the FOC stuff.
There certainly is less plastic, but what's there doesn't feel any different to me than what we've been getting,
and I have every mold so far except Grimlock and Starscream.

And overall I'm in Vangelus's camp about them. It's obvious that there's A LOT of cost-cutting, but the engineering/design talent and heart is still there.
I find it interesting to see what they can do with current restrictions. Although it's understandable that people are disappointed with it.

I agree. I just do not understand the complaints people have sometimes. Like how Generations Jazz is hollow in the chest. Why are you even looking in there?

Doesn't all the talk of cost cutting kinda invalidate all the praise given to the movies for bringing so much money into the franchise?

    ON the Mass efeect topic

Kaiden deserved to die for being and annoying Whiner about everything shepard did
the Mass Effect 2 cast was Perfect even though and I Agree Jacob was bland.
Vega utter Pointless addition to cast in Mass Effect 3 never chose him as a squadmate

    And Thane was freaking Awesome!

Ditto man. All that ranting about FoC Grimlock just made me throw my hands in the air. He's great in my opinion.

I haven't listened yet but I do have to say that Grimlock is extremely hollow and the plastic definitely feels cheaper than normal. It feels like paper.

That being said I still enjoy him quite a bit.

I've read pretty much one thing from IDW, so I can't say I'm totally excited at any possibilities for the generations line.

However, Hasbro, you really ought to make a figure of a certain weapons expert.
Bonus points if he has a bullet hole paint app on his head.

Man, the podcast became a real downer when they got to the Generations. :lol  I mean I'm not going to argue any of the points,(Cause that's always a futile effort when it comes to the podcasters.) but I actually started laughing out of just how depressing it got.

And I haven't even gotten to the Metroplex bit yet, so this should be interesting.

I do like that Vang is actually happy about the TFA Blitzwing face, after seeing a few people who are so mad about that being on the toy that they don't even want to buy it anymore. Even though you can give him a G1 face, the fact that the TFA face is there tants the figure somehow. :p

Damn... yet another person with a floppy Predaking wing. Mine's the same way with his right wing being floppy. I'm wondering if it's a problem with the mold or if a giant batch of flawed ones managed to escape the factory.

I do think the plastic on FOC Shockwave feels different but when I say I think a lot of these newer figures feel cheep I'm not necessarily talking about there tactile feel but more the feeling I get from them. If a hand folds into a forearm that all well and good but there was a time when an effort would be made to have a flap or something to hide the empty space. We are in a period of cost cutting and it's leading to mainline figures with less paint, less articulation and less parts and that don't appeal to me. If that's not an issue for you then you're lucky but I'm personally looking for a higher quality figure then Hasbro is putting out right now. I hope things change sooner then later but in the mean time I'm saving money that's going to MP and 3rd Party where I'm getting what I'm looking for.

Regarding BH Ratchet has anyone noticed how he looks like a homage to BW Dinobot in robot mode?

That was actually hard to listen too. Nobody seemed very excited about anything and when some positivity reared its head it was quickly stomped flat by prophecies of doom. Yeah that shit WAS depressing. I usually enjoy the pod cast.

I never had a problem with Kaidan other then the fact that he was forgetable. And the only reason I chose to save Ashley was literally because I felt she was going to get the Salarian troops needlesly killed.

Jacob's roll was the black guy.

Aww the Toyfair discussion was unexpectedly a bit of a downer.
When the Toyfair news came out, I was super-excited about finally getting new generations toys. Actual classics-style G1 upgrades like Trailbreaker. And getting proper triple changers again (finally a triple-changing Springer after several unexciting repaints, and Blitzwing! Yes!). And getting more IDW figures. Awesome right?

So was surprised about the amount of negativity regarding things that we don't even know if they will be an issue yet.

I mean, there have been some cheaper figures for sure, but I'm hoping that we're emerging from that period (especially since the Masterpieces have been so awesome lately, and it feels like mainline figures have been getting bigger again with FOC Grimlock & Soundwave).

I'm still feeling good about upcoming stuff! :D  But I'm not gonna force the other dudes to be positive if they're not. Also there'll be more Toy Fair talk in 240, so if you're bummed out that the podcast chatter's said all it's gonna say, don't worry.

After that downright bloodbath, WTF-Sempai has failed me. Onore, GogDog. Onore.

I for one am frustrated that you would go out of your way to express opinions that are clearly out of scale, and out of line with the feelings of myself - WarlordRatchet616 - and the many other dedicated fans of this Transformers community. How dare you, at a time when the Third Party companies are on the verge of closing down Hasbro once and for all with their stolen, bootleg toys that have done nothing but spit in the face of the dedicated fans.

How dare you not reward me as a valued customer, after the many long years of hard work I've put into listening to your podcast, not spend 45 minutes discussing the complex artistry of Nick Roche, rendered in glorious papercraft-density plastic.

I for one, expect a formal apology, and will be waiting here until I recieve it, refreshing this page, over and over again.

I for one, can only hope, that Aaron's track record of enduring enthusiasm for BotCon releases is returned to us in the next episode to sweeten this already sour pot, of bitter feelings, and edamame dreams.
