If we're answering listener questions, I'd have Powerglide as the torso, one arm is Rodimus, one arm is Ironhide, and the legs are Inferno and Ratchet. A nice hot combiner, sorta predaking colors. Call him, aaaaahhhhm... Infernus Maximus. Yeah!

I just watched that Kre-O commercial, and yeah...poor Megatron, and Omegus can't be this podcast's version of Ichab0d.

I agree with the sentiments on the likelyhood of Sideswipe vs soundwave coming to the US.

I hope that sideswipe makes it to the US, but I don't have high hopes on the licensing issues.

Soundwave is a garuntee for US release, there is no way they won't bring him over

Its sideswipe that has the issue, and that is because of liscensing issues

I don't think Hasbro getting the Lambo license will be has hard as people think. There are already plenty of Lambo licensed toys out there. As for the whole Lambo is owned by Audi is owned by VW, I don't think that will affect this release either. Audi and VW have both agreed to let Lambo do their own thing, and so far, it has worked for them. If Lambo licensed the Countach design to Hasbro, I don't think either owner would jump in to stop it. Still, I agree that we will see Soundwave hit the US shelves well before we would see Sideswipe.

On a side note, I had an idea for a combiner team inspired by the Catholic Church. After I found out the Pope is now on twitter using the name @pontifex, I thought that would be a great name for the Dinobot combiner. Give him a giant Pope hat like the PCC Dino-pope and have him go around screaming, "Pontifex smash!". :)

    ...Ok...

VW owns. Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Ducati, Porsche, Bugatti, Seat, and Scania.
Just Fyi... back to my essay

Thanks for talking through the night with me, I'm almost done ;)

P.S. Vw did have a stake in Suzuki, but they screwed it up and now Suzuki is leaving the Us market.

There was a theory that the Kre-o Autobots are evil. The very first commercial for kre-o said that most of the transformers were here to destroy us, but some want to save us.... well most Kre-o sets are Autobots, so by implication kre-o Autobits are evil.

The Gobots talk got me thinking, I wonder how long it'll be before we start seeing Gobots become a thing in 3rd party toys? Like full on recreations of Gobot characters with modern egineering.

I know the first thought is there isn't a market for it like with Transformers, but at the same time I can't help but think that something like a Cykill with modern 3rd party design and engineering wouldn't be kind of interesting.

I know it's been said before, but I think it's funny enough to warrant it being said again...
Volkswagen is worried about their products being associated with war-themed franchises? The company was founded by the Nazi Party. The damage is done :lol

I need to go look those up, cuz that sword has potential, but the gimmick ruins it. I wonder if test markets are showing kids really enjoy Mech-Tech still. hopefully it dies off soon and we get integrated weapons, or solid weapons that resemble the show models.

really? I never had a problem back when I did it, but i also don't have sleeves. I know they won't let you do it if you've had a tattoo in the last 6 months though. bad thing about selling plasma if you do it enough, it'll start leaving a track mark, cuz those needles are huge. I've thought about doing it occasionally for more toys, but I don't think i'd want to deal with the hassle (and sketchyness of everyone else who's there)

private companies buy plasma so they can do research with it, i think.

The autoroller toys are fun, i've got all 4 Korean Beast releases, but they're probably going into my sell pile soon because they've been in a plastic storage container for the better part of their time in my collection.

and all of this talk about MP Sideswipe is making me want to just order him immediately, instead of the hope that we might get a US release. I think i'm getting Masterpiece Prime for Christmas, so i'll wait until afterwards to see, then maybe order him.

there was something else i wanted to comment on as well, and now i can't remember... blast. oh well.

That's actually exactly why. The Germans are really sensitive about the whole Nazi thing. So anything that has to do with war they really try and shy away from.

I remember reading somewhere that a German man actually attacked a scupter of Hitler in the history exhibit at Madame Tussauds wax museum.

Yeah, but that was more or less a bonus item that came with a Starscream upgrade kit.

I'm taking like full on new figures.
