Opinions are not something you debate.

    Go to bed, Prime forum.

    That got ugly.

Speaking as the Bully Pulpit Minister (apparently?) - please let's not prolong that tangent in this thread any further.

I have been a TFW podcast fan since the beginning, so I wanted to say thanks for producing Primetime. I can't say I agree with the opinions of late, but it's YOUR show I listen to, and YOUR opinion that is stated. I hope you know that there are those of us who LOVE this show and don't feel the need to convince those who don't they are wrong. It's awkward to see how these threads degenerate IMO so I usually chicken out from posting.
Anyway, I think much of your speculation rings true when it comes to various plot elements ending abruptly. But episodes like Human Factor and the season finale still really hit home to me, and season 2 felt like riding whitewater, no idea where we were going to be swept to next.
But back to my point, I have still enjoyed listening even as it sunk in that what I like about the show is what the podcast (more or less, not like you're a unimind) doesn't like about the show. I look forward to more Primetime, and thanks for the effort you put into it.

I believe Gog brings something else to Primetime entirely. He doesn't bring the show down, or force opinions, he say's it as he sees it. If you feel Gog is trying to persuade folks into hating the show, just please broaden your mind a little bit. He's obviously hesitant while speaking on the show, unassumingly, people will take it the wrong way. Though, it's more of an awkward situation because, well, co-hosting a podcast on a specific piece of fiction that one does not like, is just plain awkward.
Also I don't mean to 'put words in Gog's mouth' or anything like that, that's just how I see it looking it, because it's no secret Season 2 was some real mundane time-wasting in Gog's eyes. And that's completely okay!
But we need 'that' guy! We need the guy who on the first run isn't going to fall head over heels because it's the shinny new thing that's awesome just because you want it to be going it. His apprehensive attitude to the latest season really brought about some good points, and I'll say, made me think as well on a few key items. And I have had the occasional moment while watching the new episode and the thought "I wonder what Primetimes gonna be like" just because the varying opinions are interesting to hear.
I have to say personally, that Prime, conceptually is really really great! I feel lot's of their concepts and ideas are really really interesting and nifty. BUT, that comes with the caveat that they are not always implemented well. Maybe, we do demand too much out of a kid's show, well, so be it. The writers are talented, the people working on the show seem capable enough, so my overall opinion on the show isn't hate or disregard, it's genuine disappointment.
Now do those of us who have been disappointed with the show, or like Gog who will outright say season 2 sucked, the majority of us are not trying to push our opinions down your throat or make you hate it. Defending is one thing, though bold 'accusation' is another. This is NOT directed toward anybody in particular in the thread, this is in general. Someone disliking something is not the same as them making you dislike it; all it means is you like it, and they dislike it. It doesn't harm your average day, and never will. So, it's cool! Though in any forum/debate/place of opinion, the right winged E-Penis stuff just isn't cool.
Again, this is NOT directed towards anyone in the thread. It's also just MY opinion, and if you share it, great, and if you don't, even better.

Talking about Transformers: Prime is kind of a huge downer, but you know what isn't? MTMTE and RiD. Let's turn those frowns upside down and bring back book club.

Well now that the unpleasantness is over with....

If Gog is leaving, thank you for you contributions to a show I have enjoyed since the beginning. You will be missed.

Agreed. Gog is, of course, free to do whatever he wants, but I feel him bringing up the negative aspects up TFP "spices up" Primetime a bit, since he puts forth an altenative perspective, and often brings up valid complaints.

Just like it is boring when the Autobots treat Optimus like he's an infallible deity, it (and I mean no offense at all to Vang and Aaron by this) becomes a little less interesting when Primetime is composed mainly of more positive opinions, without acknowledging the negative aspects of the show as much. It is more interesting to hear differing, and in some cases opposing, views.

Oh yeah, I totally see what you're saying. And I agree. I love hearing Vangelus', and Aaron's opinions. I think they both also bring up valid points, and it's interesting when say, Gog will bring up something he didn't like, and then Vangelus or Aaron re-bustle with maybe, why they liked it, or why it 'wasn't so bad'. All of them make for some very good contrasting opinions, which makes it interesting.

finally got around to listening. I'm sad to see that Gog has gone from enjoying this show to (edit) disliking it in less than a year, but i'd be lying if i said that wasn't justified. All i can hope for is that the showrunners wake up and do what is supposed to be done, so that all of us can have good things to say about the show again

I was entertained by the episodes. But I'll agree there were some logical problems as a result of some mandate rushing the writers along.

When I take this analysis of the episodes in they definitely wanted to reset Starscream's character back to how he was in darkness rising. But at least it's believable that starscream wants to be a part of the decepticons again so much that he's high on the power again. But it doesn't nullify the ordeal the character went through with a mind wipe.

after the omega lock is smashed I can justify the autobot retreat through the groundbridge to get the Humans out of the battle. A single stray shot could rupture those containers. But I think Optimus Prime could have made the decision to send only a part of his team through the groundbridge with the humans and finish the fight.

Though it may not be much of a fight. At least soundwave would have his relic and Show him and starscream having a pitched battle to keep Optimus Prime from finishing off a defenseless megatron only to have the decepticons flee to new Kaon.

Just a bit more time. One more episode could have given us a ton more developement and payoff for the season just expanding on the the themes of these two episodes.

Great episode guys. I feel very apathetic to "Prime" as we'll and I'm glad I'm not alone. I also want to let you guys know how much I would love to have the return of the book club, this past years worth of IDW has been amazing.

I couldn't agree more. No one could be more polite and respectful of dissenting opinions as Gog has been. Great job, man. You'll be missed.

Whenever they get time to. Vangelis is real busy making arrangements with the 3rd Street Saints to kill his fellow podcasters to edit/post any episodes.
