Just a comment on the podcast 6min in... Last time Optimus seen Alpha Trion was before the Ark left Cybertron some 4 million years ago. So the "message from across the ages" line is not too out of place. Maybe for a Transformer seeing they live forever LOL!

Also, on the sending the items to Earth, the Covenant of Primus reads into the future. So he knew all that would play out on Earth.

Early on in season one, it was stated they have been fighting for a few tens of thousands of years or so. I don't remember the classic "4 million years" timeframe unless that something from the books. Either way, if it's still within the lifetime of a being, using the term "ages" still sounds really awkward IMO.

Yeah it's from the book. They been away from Cybertron for 4 million but have been fighting long before that. The times differ from book to show. It's hard for me to ignore the back story (books/games) while watching Prime, in a since it kinda helps fill some gaps when you look over certain things.

Well, if that's even really part of the show, its never been stated so in the actual show. Like I said, the time frame they have given us is much different. But if a Transformer's life is millions of years, to them, it shouldn't be "ages." It's like sending you a voicemail from high school, and you get it in your 40's, and you say "He sent me this message from across the ages!"

Haha, I know it's knit-picky, but it just seemed weird. Smokescreen is depicted as a very young TF, and he was with A3 in the early years of the war. If he's still a "Turbo-revving young punk" after 4 million years, the ages line is just out of place.

Considering Megatron killed Sentinel Zeta Prime in the novels/games, it could be his arm.

Megatron should have called the Dark Star Saber as either the Dark Matter Calibur or the Ex-Wife

Yup the Dark Star Saber was a hilariously stupid name. I was just like, really Megatron? You can't come up with something more original than that?

I'm at the part where you guys are talking about Alpha Trion simply sending the relics to earth and just banking on hope that Prime will get them before Megatron. I had the same thoughts when I watched the show, but as I was listening to the podcast, I was thinking...

What if A3 didn't exactly have much of a choice? The Hall of Records was on the verge of falling into Decepticon hands, and indeed, the Iacon Codes would soon be confiscated by the Decepticons.

What if A3 sent the relics to earth because it was the one place he knew that someone good (preferably a Prime) would end up. If he didn't send this stuff off, they'd have outright been taken by the Decepts.
