I think I finished listening to 176. The listens kinda blurred together, since I pulled one of those "fall asleep during the middle to Aaron's dulcet tones" and gave it another shot later around the middle. I'm not gambling on 177 putting me to sleep. :lol

What worries me is another Animated/Movie issue happening. Wouldn't want Prime toys to get canceled, because of retailers. Well, anything could happen.

abotu 50 minutes into the episode. A lot of good stuff was said guys, i really feel Funpub needs to hear what was said. At the very least, I feel that they should consider hiring someone who is adept at using social media and can do so without enraging the fanbase.

in other news, i completely agree with the assessment of Million Publishing's United Stepper. The toy looks amazing, but i can't afford it

All in all another wonderful episode. Just one thing that bugged me. The Twitter discussion, and not in the way you might think.
First of all, yes the Occupy BotCon joke was in bad form. No denying that. For a lot of the same reasons, however, the pod cast team taking a definite side on the Occupy political issue was similarly in bad form. I'm aware that fandoms, especially ones that tend to congregate on the net, tend to lean left as a general rule of thumb, and that's ok.
The thing is, however, that I don't like to mix politics with my hobbies. Lord knows we're bombarded with political nonsense from all sides every day through the course of our lives. Like any other hobby I look at Transformers as a pleasant distraction from those things. It's because of this that I found the BotCon Twitter account's Occupy joke to be unnecessary and proactive, despite the fact that I consider myself a moderate conservative. Likewise it's why I had an issue with the podcast team taking a clear stand on the Occupy issue here.
I think everyone, be it the guy behind the BotCon Twitter feed or the WTF@TFW crew, would do well to realize that they reach an audience that's broader then those that agree with their personal political leanings. It's especially important to keep this in mind when what you're doing is within the realm of a hobby.

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. I genuinely enjoy this podcast, but the political stuff this week just took me out of it.
    Keep up the good work.

No one tooks sides on the political issue, at least as a whole. I never once expressed my political views, neither on the show nor in twitter. My issue was how they responded to people being offended. I can promise you that Seth and I don't share many political views, and he even said that making jokes about the other side was possibly just as offensive to others as the first joke was. My personal beliefs had nothing to do with this issue, it was how they reacted to the crap storm they started.

I'm sure that all of us have our own, varying beliefs. But I can assure you that WTF has never taken a side on the issue politically. In fact, at least with our team, we haven't even really discussed the issue at all. And that's mostly because we talk about toys and therefore have no real desire or reason to bring it up. It's the same reason I don't really want that in my news from Botcon. Hence why I unfollowed them.

Gotta also drop a warning to not take political discussion in here farther than it's already gone, unfortunately.

I didn't think any of us had taken a heavy and proactive side or stance on a political movement itself in this episode, to my recollection. Sucks if it came off that way!

Regarding the Recsue Bots, I went whole hog on them as well for my 3-year old. Between Christmas now and his Birthday in early January, there's plenty of opportunity to get them to him.

I got him all 6 of the regular bots, as well as their individual human partners. The only stuff he doesn't (or rather won't) have is the Fire Station Prime and BB playsets, as well as the Cyber-Stomper Chase and Heatwave.

I did indeed get him (his name is Blades). He looks cool in the packaging, but I've not actually taken him out yet. Like I said, they're going to be Christmas/Birthday gifts for my youngest, so I'm not allowed to play with them...

    ...yet. ;)

First, thanks to both you and Vangelus for responding.

The thing that stuck out to me was the line "I don't like to see the Occupy movement maligned as much as they are." I don't know, to me it seemed like the podcast took a stance. You guys do excellent work, and part of why I enjoy the podcast so much is because you do a fantastic job keeping the discussion of toys focused on toys, and you don't let politics enter it.
It just got a little to political this week for my liking. It's entirely possible, and in fact probable, that I'm making to much out of it, but it was just something I had to get off my chest, as a listener and fan.
Thanks again to both of you for responding.

Rescue bots are really cool, but I do want something else in flip changers/activators. Cyberverse supreme class Flip changers?

check this video out to see all the rescue bots change:
    http://youtu.be/1RXpHdIoJFo

Those flip changeing Machine wars and RID jets were the best. Very expressive poseing for the time, but the weapon storage and two part gun gave them a specialist edge.

I am excited to go to this years Botcon for a number of reasons:

    1. Only 1½ hour drive for me.
    2. Saturday (the 28th) is my 29th birthday.
    3. Of course, the Con itself.
    4. On a more personal note, I went to the Botcon in '05 that was in Frisco. It was a good experience, because it allowed me to relax and decompress after going to my Grandfathers funeral the previous day (Thursday I believe). While I enjoyed that immensely, it will be nice to go and (hopefully, God willing) not have anything like that weighing on my mind.

Anyway, only listened to the first 30 minutes or so, so looking forward to the rest.
