My wallet would murder me. It's already upset about the Cincinnati toy show coming around the corner.

So my assumption is that Shinkenger (show) was brought over to the U.S. but Gokaiger hasn't been brought over yet.

No, no, no. You don't understand. I already went in there just to look for them, got real excited seeing them, and then it was like... a white blurr... and an awful headache... and suddenly I was signing a receipt and being handed a bag...

We're not even through Shinkenger yet. We'd have to wade through the complete shitfest that is Goseiger in order to get to the Gokaiger adaptation.

Yeah, it was the one thing that really called to me in the dealer room. More for the odd factor.

I fear for my bank account getting set loose in the tfcon dealer room if I get to go :lol

On 170 topic: Saw those figuarts in the local TRU and looked cool, might pick one up. The little robotic squid was funny. (if that's what it was?)

It was a Squid! The zords/mecha in Shinkenger/Samurai grow from tiny to huge via some sort of samurai magic.

Real men don't need slices - we just eat the whole pizza regardless.

On the note of Amazon Japan and DVDs vs. toys, the trick of being able to buy toys that are packed-in with DVDs has been noticed since the days of Galaxy Force, when the movies were but a mere twinkle in Hasbro's eye. This is what made Red Exillion, White Chromia, and Mass-Production Noisemaze relatively simple to obtain for TF fans in-the-know, in the days when middlemen were sparse and going to BBTS for exclusives was generally the "only" choice.

Still gotta actually finish the rest of the podcast. I am, as always, smalltime.

EDIT: Other point I forgot. What was the evidence regarding the NYCC exclusives being easy to find this year? Prime Prime notwithstanding, there was little about SDCC 2011 that made it look like everything would be easy to find at NYCC. The Nerf guns from both shows haven't sold out either, but the Sky Striker Starscream and Ultimate Prime certainly did. Other Hasbro stuff also sold quite well this year from the major franchises. Mighty Muggs didn't do all that fabulously (big surprise), Cuponk was as poorly-received as everyone predicted, and that's about it. Note that I'm not justifying $100+ for the NYCC set, because that's madness, but I absolutely didn't expect Arcee and Bee to be available to this day either.

I shake my fist at Aaron for snagging the Shinkengers during the BOGO sale. I was at my TRU during the same sale and they didnt even have shelfspace for them. (yet?)

They appeared overnight at my TRU. There wasn't a place for them, then there were a half dozen.

That seems to be the case everywhere. They just stick them on the shelf next to the bikes.

After finally getting through the podcast (haven't been commuting much lately), I found that first listener question to be awesome. I'm not being sarcastic either. Kudos to that guy that sent in the question from Youtube and being original (at least, to my recollection).

I'd have to take Energon Omega Supreme as a tank, Henkei/Universe Dinobot as a berserker/damage dealer, and Animated (banana colored!) Ratchet as a healer/tinkerer.

    I'd be a bard.

    Aaron!!!!!!!

It's not just you man with Revoltech Prime. Mine was doing the uneven stance at first too. I fiddled with it for a bit and eventually it balanced out. Now I seem to have no problems. Not sure if I just needed to push them in more or what.

Also if you have that little black stand that came with Rodimus or Starscream (I can't remember who it came with, maybe it was both :lol ) Prime goes from being "okay" to super fun. He has a hole in his bum area for the stand, they just never included it.

Somewhere I have a Revoltech stand from my Rodimus. I'd just have to dig it up.
