Talking about the whole Sideburn thing got me thinking. Does the Joe club have the same shipping issues with their exclusives? People keep saying they seem to get preferential treatment. I'm curious to see if there is a difference in shipping between the two.

Oh wow, I never thought of that. He was very adamant in keeping to blue and red, with Swindle being the only exception I can think of. Maybe Jetfire had Yellow eyes?

 

I think Derrick said that any character with purple eyes was a Decepticon that used to be an Autobot. Waspinator also had purple eyes. That's a good question about Jetfire's yellow eyes. Wonder if that represents anything.

Glad Vangelus will be doing a review on Sideburn pointing out the flaws in the shipping system. Gotta make sure TFCC and everyone else knows about these problems. Do they even know about Protoman and other not getting their Sideburns?

I just wanted to thank Vangelus for mentioning my Spreem in ep 162. I honestly had no idea he liked The Rock too. The Spreem I knew about, Great minds think alike I guess 

 

I kinda have the same dilemma as Vangelus. Im missing some paint on the right toe of Sideburn, but I don't want to send it back and get a worse one in exchange. I'm pretty happy with everything else about the toy and I can live with an all black toe.

 

I think that Sideburn would have looked nicer with a chest logo rather than a crotch logo.

Perhaps the club could resell their returns as 2nds to those who still want a Sideburn ?

Re : Packaging disappointment - I was rather irked in the recent past that Sainsbury's/Walmart Exclusive Sideswipe is missing the cool Checker board sub-layer and that the Bumblebee was missing the magenta stripe and dirt - as it made him look less like 'just another Bumblebee'.

Re : Masterpiece or high end figures by some other company ; Sideshow Collectable Sentinel Prime or Art Asylum Optimus Prime for example. might be nice.

I don't think the style of such companies would suit G1 but it would suit Movie style stuff.
I suppose Art Asylum could do something Animated looking though like a Giant TF Prime Optimus.

Another great Podcast fellas. It was definitely interesting to hear your thoughts regarding 3rd parties actually having a license to do Transformers and then what other companies could do with transforming robots. Very good thoughts all around.
