Not going to do any reveals on Thursday's recording, but one would hope that out of Gogdog, Seth, Aaron, Omegus, Lupis, and myself, one of us would receive a good one. :lol

There are 7 of us, and we all have our own opinions. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we disagree. But if out of the three of us that got our Sideburns so far, if all 3 are disappointing, that's the way it goes, and is indicative of a larger issue. In no way do I feel like we need to bring in guests to show a counter argument when all 3 of us have a bad experience.

Apologies for suggesting there needed to be a guest to supply a counter-argument. I would have liked for there to have been a more positive spin on Sideburn from someone, but i'm content with what we got, which was an airing of grievances.

Yes 3 people having similar issues with a figure is indicative of a larger issue, but there seems to be a track record this year at Fun Pub/ 3H with some QC issues ( I.e. Cheetor's lack of face paint and the Sideburn issues). all we can do is hope those issues are resolved by the time the Battle Chargers come out. I think they will be, as neither will require such precise homaging as the company felt Sideburn did in his face.

Hopefully the club will up their overall quality so we don't have anything to complain about.

I was playing some multi-player vodeo game today with a few other people from these very boards and the topic came up about criticism and the reaction to it in our fandom. Perhaps I could have given a little more time to the aspects of Sideburn that I liked but don't think my review was over the top. More then not getting a well painted face I think it's a poor deco.

I definitely don't think you guys had excessive criticism on the figure. especially seeing gogdog's, those apps were rediculously terrible! if they know these are going to be going to collectors, the factory should make a little bit stronger effort to ensure that the paint goes on smoothly. while some see it as just a freebie, I do see it as a $40 figure, because that's about all I get the membership for.

it was just a bizarre coincidence that everyone on the podcast all got really bad ones, and as such, that's the only way the commentary on the figure could go.

Good to get some more input on Leader Ironhide from this episode, it's really helped me consider purchasing it. For now I think I'll hold off though, while it does look nice standing it doesn't really sound like it can do much else.

I didn't know about Sideburn before this, and when I first saw the chapter image, I though it was a knockoff. Seeing what it's supposed to look like makes it make more sense, but still, that's some pretty bad paint.

    Great episode as always, though.

If you're disappointed in a product that you paid for, you have every right to air your frustrations with it.

Honestly, with the track record of their figures, such as Punch/Counterpunch's small head, Cheetor's lack of black paint apps (along with ugly head design), and Sideburn's paint app problems, FunPub needs to do a better job with the quality for the cost.

After hearing Gogdog talking about that NECA Raziel, I decided to go pick the guy up today. Haven't opened him yet, but he looks pretty sweet. Funny his wings are switched around. Nice that he was just 10$. I would've expected a mark up from TRU :lol .

The Apocalypse Glyos colorways are some of my favorite! My first Glyos figure was the Apocalypse Sarvos and it's what got me hooked pretty hair. Really love that red panel lining, and how it makes the figure look like it's glowing with red energy slightly. Very awesome stuff.

I know I'm a week behind, but I do want to say that this is basically what mine looks like. Mine has a little bit of overspray on the shins, but it doesn't bother me.

Personally, I think he is a really good looking figure, and, while I understand Seth's opinion, I'm really glad they didn't paint both crests.
I think doing so would have made him look more like a blue Hot Rod.
Also, it might just be because my house is not normally well lit, but I barely ever notice the unpainted crest.

Weird that so many of you got bad eggs. In the place where I normally discuss things the ratio was definitely reversed. Although, the most common issue was actually the worst one. That being the misshapen light-piping.

Interesting how much your perspective can change depending on the people you're around. It is one of the reasons I listen to multiple podcasts.
